I was going to ask if you were putting heavy items, such as jeans, in with delicates as that might cause an unbalanced load (but I do mixed loads all the time and it's fine) and you mentioned you do just towels and get the unbalanced thing with that so i'm stumped. What settings are you using most? I use the 'mix' one with the steam a lot. For sheets I do the cotton one at 60. Usually for towels I use the intensive 60, but I do vary sometimes.

I hope it's just teething problems and you find out what works best for you.

It seems happy when the loads are mixed. It just doesn't like either light or heavy ones.

I put the towels on a cotton 60 (haven't tried the intensive setting yet). It seems happier when it doesn't do the 'detecting' thing. I think it's detective skills may be crap. :D

Fingers crossed you can get the right programmes to work for every type of washing you have. How long since you got it? Hopefully once you get used to it, it'll be okay. :)

your washing machine sounds far too intelligent and feeling - that way madness lies - it will be starting up by itself next and following you across the kitchen floor behind your back :rotfl::rotfl:.

It flounced in wearing pink, so I was just assuming......:rotfl:
Oi, wearing pink is not at all related to flouncing, some of us pink wearers are perfectly stable, tyvm! :rotfl:

Hope you can get it sorted. Sooooo annoying!

Just thought I'd update cos I thought this was kinda ironic......I crammed (yes seriously...I struggled to shut the door) my superking size 10.5 duvet in the machine today. It did it's 'detecting' bit and announced the load size as being small (so clearly it goes by weight and not volume) and started it's wash program.

The duvet was so tightly crammed in, it squeaked against the door when it went round (the machine had annoyed me so I didn't really care if it broke it tbh :o).

Once it got properly wet though, away it went....not a peep out of it, no banging, quiet spin etc. Best wash it's ever done.

  • You got the same one as me. I'm doing about 4 loads a week instead of 20.

  • LOL with all the workmen around it's hard to tell.
