So, the weekend was officially a SW disaster zone - off with sea cadets to an Army camp.... and did the chefs believe we march on our stomachs as well as deep frying or putting sauce on everything!!! Drawn a line under and started again today

B - All Bran (HEB 42g), strawbs and rasps with splish of milk (0.5 HEA)

L - Jacket with salad, cheese (0.5 HEA)and beans, muller

D - Pork chop, sausages (5) mushrooms, b beans, SW wedges - YUM

I also had a poppadum (2) and a Mug Shot Cous Cous (1)

So, 8 syns and an hour in the gym (I am pooped!!) But am very proud of myself, I did 7K on the cross trainer in 11 mins, Rowed 2000 m and only stopped twice (this is unusual, I usually stop about 4 times) some weights and a 5 min cycle...... I am aiming to RUN:eek: the Race fir Life next year.....

  • Does anyone know the syns for a bar of Galaxy?:o

I was at a training course this afternoon and a friend dropped a bar in front of me and it would have been rude to refuse wouldn't it? And the course was a bit on the boring side anyway.

That's fantastic progress piglet, well done you:T Your motivation must be sky high!!

Just checking in with my EE plan for today. We're eating up bits and pieces as away tomorrow.

B: NAS squash, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, bacon
L: LO veg, LO pork and maybe fit a sandwich in somewhere, satsuma, pear
D: I'm out so may be good and have steak and jacket or may have some flexi chips

I'm going to be off plan until next week, after today, as no idea what will be available in hotels and restaurants. Hopefully it won't take me too long to get back to target!
  • Well done everyone! At my WI last night I gained 1/2 lb. :(

Not bad considering I'd been out over the weekend where I had no control of what I was going to be offered as food. Saturday was sandwiches, pork pies, sausage rolls and crisps with buns/cream scones for afters! As a consolation there was a small fruitbowl!

Sunday it was bread (ciabatta), cheese, sliced meat, nuts, crisps, flapjacks, biscuits, buns and birthday cake.

So that 1/2 lb was quite good really!

Anyway, tonight I am off out for an Indian with my friend and have looked at the book and the menu online and think the best thing to go for is plain boiled rice (b) with a Dall (approx 5.5 syns) Will have to brave not to sucumb to the naan and chapattis - well - perhaps just one chapatti (7 syns):o

I will be very good rest of week so it shouldn't be too bad at WI next monday.

Good luck and onwards and downwards to one and all.
  • Ok so I'm going to just jump straight in with what I've eaten today and see how well you seasoned pro's think I've done. I'm trying to follow extra easy but I'm not going to the groups so I would like you all to point out where I've got things right or wrong.

Breakfast - 28g bowl of Aldi version special K original (HEB??) with milk (HEA) and a glass of Tesco Cranberry and Raspberry Juice (from some googling I think this is 1/2 syn but please correct me if I'm wrong)

Lunch - Aldi hot & spicy couscous (1syn again from googling so not certain) with lettuce, cucumber and carrot sticks

Tea - 3x fish fingers (4.5 syns) with mash (am I right in thinking i only need to syn any butter/milk i use here??) broccolli, cauli, carrots and corn on the cob. Chopped strawberries.

Snacks - 2x cheese thins (2syns) an apple, and some grapes (maybe quite a few grapes)

So how have I done for my first attempt??

    xxxx

Special K is not an HEB, and juice is quite high in syns so i dont think your 1/2 a syn is right but i dont have access to syns online so cant double check. Are you doing EE? You should have 1/3rd superfree with every meal including breakfast.

Other than that not a bad attempt, are you weighing/measuring your milk/butter etc?
