Typical of England though, always make a bad start and whatever was up with Johnny? Shoulda brought Floody on after he missed 2.
Anyway a win is a win even if it wasn't fully deserved.
Anyone else think Nelly is on a commission? :rotfl:Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

evening ladies, have just signed up to SW. Spent the afternoon doing the depressing task of putting away summer clothes and bringing out winter ones and nothing fits - nada! i have no winter clothes for work and the thought of having to go out and buy size 16 is too depressing for someone who not a million years ago used to fit easily into a size 10..... so time to do something about it. filled in my first food diary and i have had 20 syns!!!!! no wonder the pounds are piling on. Off to read up on following the plantrying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100

That was me a alfiecat, less than a year ago and 3 stone+ lost later i'm a very happy bunny!!! It can be done and this thread/plan is an excellent way of doing it!
I'm feeling a bit virtuous today:rotfl:as I''ve followed SW advice and had extra HEs to maintain rather than extra gratuituous syns. Had cauli cheese with extra milk and cheese (let's ignore cornflour shall we?:o)
EE menu for today:
B: 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, NAS squash, HEA milk for teas, 2 satsumas
L: Laughing Cow and salad sandwich, pear, coffeegammon, SW chips, cauli cheese
Syn: whatever's in the cauli cheese and weekend wine syns:j0 -

Cheer up confused, I think we all know that if we follow the plan it will work (eventually:)). When I look back, I've taken loads of shortcuts (no measuring of milk or cereal and routinely saving syns for weekends:o) and it's worked for me. I just think if I'd been more focussed I'd have lost the weight more easily. I also got very fed up when I was near to target because it took me about 2 months to lose last 2 lbs. I'm saying this to show you that it can be done nd it's perfectly normal to take the circuitous route, for whatever reason...
Stick with it, I will work!!!0 -
In reply to Hannah... save your cash Hannah, and go and have a look at The Zoe Harcombe site - both forum, and also you tube. This will direct you to your final diet. Its based on REAL FOODS, that are straight from nature, ie, meat, fish, eggs, cheese, dairy, veg, instead of straight from nature VIA THE FOOD MANUFACTURERS who drop in various things that we dont need, in additives, trans fats, sugar, salt, fillers, gums, sucrose, dextrose, anything with 'oes' ( sugar !)
We are fat, as a nation, because in the last 50 years or so, food manufacturers are getting the upper hand in trying to tell us that their foods are healthy, nourishing. and good for us, and also will make us slim.. not true.
We didn't have obesity like today, those years ago.. For 3,5000.000 years man has eaten food as nature intended, and man has only been obese since the changed information that the government are accepting from the manufacturers ( the blind leading the bllind)
Ditch Slimming World.. you'll only put it all back on again. Ditch Weight Watchers, sponsored by food manufacturers, churning out rubbish processed crap..
Hello Zoe Harcombe !
Nellie
I don't think Zoe, SW or WW have the miracle cure - it's down to our own willpower, common sense and whatever programme we feel most comfortable with. I'm happy with SW - the basic nutritional values are all there and it's down to me to follow them. Perhaps you should consider starting a new forum supporting Zoe's programme - there's room for every one when it comes to weight loss programmes - but good luck with your quest to lose weight loss and maintain the loss for life. I hope you are successful whichever programme you choose to follow though if you don't mind me saying your last post looks very like a SW EE day - I just wouldn't fry in butter - and that's nothing to do with SW!A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!!
Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!0 -
Hello - it's nearly the end of my first SW week (I did start it afew years ago but then got pregnant with DS so gave it up). I've struggled a little bit because I don't like most fruit and veg or diet/nas drinks or sweeteners, so I've completely ditched tea, coffee, pop, squash, crisps, sweets, chocolate etc.... I've been very good though, weighing my cereal, measuring my milk, although without tea, and given that I like SS milk, I've got nowhere near my daily HE allowance. Had a takeaway tonight though - I'd have been suicidal without my Saturday night indian takeaway
- and I chose Chicken Dhansak which was only 6.5 syns, I had boiled rice where I'd have normally had pilau, so that was free, and I had half a poppadom instead of my usual 2 so 2 syns.
Midweek I was ready to murder someone, I felt so depressed about being on a diet, but I'm feeling pretty good now as I've managed to avoid all the $hite I normally eat. Beans, jacket potatoes, Muller Lights and bananas have been my friends this week! If I don't lose some weight on Monday or Tuesday (depends which group I go to) then I'll be fuming!
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0
