My EE food diary today:
B - mullerlight; pear
L - Kallo rice cakes (4.5syns ); pear; banana; alpen light bar (HEB)
D - homemade tattie & leek soup (tatties, leeks, veg stock cube, onions); shepherd's pie (lean beef mince, onions, peas, 2 oxo cubes, tatties)
s - 2 pears, satsuma, dry highlights choc powder (2syns)
I should probably have done without the highlights but I had a horrendous chocolate craving and this has killed it completely!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
Current mortgage £28,0000 -
well that wasn't too bad, I rejoined (£9 approx cos I get old lady rates) and got the new book. Last time I was weighed (prev book) I was 9st 10 lb and tonight I was 10 st 6 lb so I've gained just over half a stone; if I take it seriously for a few weeks that should soon be GONE! It was nice to see some of the old (but slimmer) faces

For a sweet snack I always enjoy either a frozen yoghurt (1.5 hrs in freezer) or some frozen fruit mixed into a yoghurt & then popped back into the freezer for 10 minutes.
Does anyone have any news of MrsM (I think she goes onto Minimins), I wonder if she's had her baby yet? And Dizzy, has she popped in lately?:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

gettingthere54 --- I was reading about your meds and some are similar to mine. I decided to do more exercise and ended up having a bigger heart problem(meds control heart rhythm) pushed too hard. Now on extra heart tabs and warfarin. My main problem now is I am not allowed to eat too much of SW staple food – green veg and all berries. So slowly slowly losing weight. Meds can slow weight loss.
Well done piglet and all you other losers. And hello to all newbies (and new oldies:D) Another 1 and ½ off for me this week.
Mrs M posted about 2 weeks ago on minimins. All well with herself and bump! :T

2.5 off tonight

Does anyone know any syn values for Zizzis? I went for the pesche risotto, which is rice, prawns, salmon and squid as I thought it might be the better option? I've tried searching everywhere and can't find anything

Morning all. Well done on the losses. I weigh in tomorrow after work. I'm not feeling confident even though I've stuck to plan 100%. I'm a bit paranoid that I eat too many carbs, but I don't eat meat do tend to stick to Green Days.
Can't decide what to have for brekky. Might have SW breakfast of toast, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes, but then I could have toast with 2syns of chocolate Philadelphia and sliced banana...decisions!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Well after a week of being angelic on food choices ( I've given all the rubbish up for Lent) and totally committed on the exercise front I sts :mad::mad::mad:.
Fed up isn't an accurate description, but this is a family forum!;);)
So I came home and had tea ( baked spud and veg with chicken which had been marinated in ff natural yoghurt and curry paste) and then got out the size 22 jeans that I have kept from when I started!:eek::eek: DD1 and DD2 can stand in a leg each....
We have a new leader and she is keen that I bring in some 'before' pics, plus the aforementioned jeans, next week.....
i have agreed, but I am going to be a bit embarrassed as the pictures are awful....
* looms on the horizon, meaning the PMT fairies will be around too.... but it's head down and battle on - I will see a loss next week....... This is the week when DD2 gets lots of lie-ins ( school runs a 2 week timetable) so I have already decluttered 4 miles this morning! I will keep going!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
:hello:
mind if I join you?
Since yesterday I took time to read back 22 pages  and now I'm ready to come and say hello
Been directed to this thread from the Tesco Elite one(which I blame for my weight problems
) and it's nice to see familiar 'faces'
Brilliant advice and support here and it's just what I need right now
I took a look at the minimins forum but I guess I just prefer MSE
(sorry in advance for a long post but I just feel I need to present the 'history'
) So there it goes:
I joined SW for the first time in my life last week Saturday
Read and heard a lot about it and thought I give it a go since I'm bored with starving myself impossible and the binging on chocolate
I always was 'big'
a chubby child, the biggest teen in class/school
been only thinner twice in my life, first when I was about 15/16 years old and got obsessed with stomach crunches(we had some PE 'exam' at school and you got the highest note for 60+/minute so I was training hard to get it as it would mean my first and only highest note in PE in my life
) and also going out with friends, never at home, forgetting to eat... wasn't really a 'diet', it dropped off by accident and I didn't even notice until I balooned again
(I started running school cafe and was constantly munching on whatever was there
)
The next time was 'on purpose' and quite complicated and very unhealthy... A few years ago I saw my good friend loosing lots of weight very fast with some prescribed slimming pills so I went to my GP to get them too. And I guess the thought of it being possible(as I saw it with my own eyes) made it possible... I lost ca. 3 stones really fast but I also kind of changed my eating habits at the same time... I wasn't starving/depriving myself I just had 3 meals a day and no blow outs...
That was when I met my current boyfriend over 4 years ago
I then continued to loose weight without the pills but it was taking longer and was sts lots of the time... however I managed another 20lbs or so... then I went on holidays with bf and seeing all the slim girls around made me desperate to loose even more(never go to Ibiza if you're self-concius(sp?)), I was size 12/14 then but when we came back I decided to go on my 'own' diet which was only having liquids 5 days a week and eating/drinking what I wanted on the weekends  Ok, I lost another 12 lbs or so quite fast and was a size 10/12 it felt amazing and I was really proud of myself but then it kind of went out of the window
:o:o I didn't watch what I eat anymore, had more and more chocolate which is my downfall, and the weight was coming back
ALL of it and more
I just looked down at the scales terrified every morning but couldn't get a grip and do anything
Until NOW :j I am really motivated and positive about SW and I really enjoy the food... A little worried about the carbs(pasta!spuds!rice!on a diet?!) but I'm following the plan and I am loosing
I am on the scales every morning as I NEED to know, it motivates me...
I'll post my last few days diary and other 'blubber' later as I'm running off to see Mr T now
Sorry for the long post
But there is lots more I want to say
I'll do it later
Hope everyone has a nice, SW friendly day! :A0 -
welcome - we're a very friendly , supportive bunch here!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

Well ladies (we have no gentlemen here do we?) today I am starting some medication whose known side-effect is weight gain (they're steroids) which rather !!!!es me off. But my body needs it in order to be able to have a baby, so it will only be a short term thing, hopefully.Still not looking forward to it. Will be watching my food intake very carefully over the next few weeks.0

come on now, chin up;)
look at my sig...
you remember how i STS a while back...then my first ever gain....you remember how encouraging you were to me...
and look...a kick start....now i am 5stone 5lbs lighter
it happens....the human body is a strange thing....you be MEGA good...and STS...then u be a bit bold...and you loose 3lbs...
just keep on being good.....it will start again...
i took my mum 3 weeks to get rid of 0.5lbs for her 5 stone award....and she lost 3.5lbs then!:j
the first week i STS i went home and dug out my outfit from my first WI, and i was ashamed to see that i can now fit MY WHOLE self into one leg of the trousers of that outfit!!!:o
but it spurred me on, help me stay on track and break thru the plateau and now i am only 12lbs from target, if i had given up then, i would now have the guts of a stone back on, and b 2 stone from target.....
you can do it......try a few (i would recommended not more than 3) success express days this week,
keep on doing, what you have been doing that got you this far:A0
