Unfortunately this morning the poor wee thing lost his fight for life. The family are completely distraught - as you can imagine - and I've had to deal with notifying family and friends - one of the most unpleasant things I've ever had to do.
Absolutely nothing to do with SW but just had to offload.
ahh how heartbreaking :A0 -

I saw my doc today and he was happy to give me a prescription, but when I went to the pharmacy they said there is a national shortage due to manufacturing problems. Tried 2 other pharmacies but the same problem, so having screwed up my courage to go and ask for it I still can't get it! Have looked online but it's way too expensive.
Old threads on other sites show that this isn't the first time it's gone out of stock, so hopefully it will be back sometime soon.
Any of you ladies who are already on it had a problem with renewing it?
i am on Xenical and i got it on friday past no problems, is it the same thing?0 -

has she tried mixing up the plan she does? like coming off EE and doing R or G instead?
is she eating different things all of the time too? if you eat the same things al the time it can slow losses down because your body gets used to it all. adding in loads of different foods can sometimes help.
if she's being really good, people i know have had losses by having a blowout. its like it gave their body a kickstart at fat burning again.
she does EE with the odd success express day thrown in, tho even on the EE plan she does eat a lot of different things,
i will just keep encouraging her and hope it kickstarts again0 -

So sorry to hear about your friend medmum. My little boy was born at 26 weeks. She should make sure to get a thorough investigation into what happened, when she's ready.0

thank you everyone,
anyone got any tips for me to pass onto my mum?
shes 0.5lbs off the 5 stone mark, with another 2 or 3 stone she would like to loose, and she is sitting at the same weight now for 3 weeks,
we have done success express, and she feels it is far too soon for her to plateau,
has anyone heard of the SW Plan called "the 7 deadly sins"?
Can she excercise? I think short sharp bursts are the best, something that gets you really breathless even if just for 10 minutes. Do that every day and it speeds up the metabolism.
Apart from that I would say plenty of fibre, has she tried eating 5 scan bran a day & drinking loads of water with them.0 -

Yep, that's what I've been prescribed, Orlistat is the generic name and Xenical is the brand name.
Maybe it's a regional problem (although if you google it it seems to be national) or maybe you were just lucky that your pharmacy still had some stocks. Hope it comes back soon.Oh dear, here we go again.0
