Well done Sarah - from a size 20 to a 12 is a great achievement. (I am currently a size 20, but don't think I could ever get below a 16!)
why ever not minhauk! Of course you can! Just think of all those people who feature in the magazines. It can be done!!!
Anyone (but saidan I'm looking at you!) know if sweet potatoes have a lot of fibre in them? I haven't eaten them for years but remember liking them. Are they more in the same family as a carrot than say cauliflower? I can't eat cauli and such like due to fibre content.
I don't have any 'evidence' but the texture is more like carrot I'd say.
Anyone got a good recipe (preferably low syn/syn free) for red cabbage? I've never cooked it myself:o but always enjoy it in restaurants.0 -
Although, I'm not that fussed on savoury food so I couldn't take pleasure from eating lots of potatoes for example. #
ohhh i love potatoes....love them...i dont know if its an Irish thing...being reared on spuds...and bread...and paying for it now..:o
i always said.."i could not do WW.....one wee tiny spud....is that all ur allowed..."...so the fact that they are free on SW...:D
Hi Piglet24,
I thought I was the only one who liked spuds, spuds and more spuds!!
Yes, I think its an irish thing, spuds and cabbage, the yummiest food ever, could eat them till they come out of my ears, thats why ww was no good for me, I was getting paranoid about putting my beloved spud on the scales and hacking bits off - what a sin!
Hoping for a good loss tonight, I just hope I have not overdone it on the wii and my fat has not turned to muscle.
7pm here I come. :rotfl:
Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!
46 weeks! :beer:0 -
ammonite - about the same as a normal potato with skin on but more than potato's without skin.....but lower than most veggies.
if i were you i'd have it like a potato mash for the first time and see how you go.
i can eat it......:)Proud mum :T

Tonight I have made some veg soup, 2 onions, carrots, celery, a bag of sprouts and 2 chicken stock pots, smells divine, will liquidise it after weigh in, I can taste it already.

Welcome in by the way and feel free to post your food diaries for comment/help.
Thanks TIE for your comments.
Monday was crunch day, to see if I still lost weight even with the milky coffees. Total weight lost in two weeks is 4lb. I'll re-evaluate in a fortnight.
In the meantime I have more energy which is great - shame work is so quiet at the moment that it's boring and making me sleepy...
Well done to all other losers - you're inspirational! And to anyone else - keep going, you'll make it with help from the lovely people on here!"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
