D - ???? I haven't decided yet!! I am home alone, and don't know what I want.
Body Magic today is an amazing bout of housework, I have even taken down the nets to wash and will be cleaning windows!!!! Phew!!

Hi scorpiod. I wish! No, I have a long way to go! I just can't think of a logical reason for this. I'm overweight, I'm sticking to the plan. I've exercised 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks. Even just cutting out the amount of takeaways I used to eat should've given me a weighloss of some sort! 9lbs in 7 weeks. It's just so slow!
Hi Copperjar, Not to sound patronising but 9lbs in 7 weeks is over a pound a week and a good weight loss. I know how you feel as when I did EE last year i was only losing half a pound a week and it is disheartening but stick with it..
Got to say my OH didn't lose any weight on SW when he was going to the gym every day - not a very technical person but your body must do something weird when you first start exercising:j and healthy eating because lots of people have the same problem... anyone know the answer to this?
Have you tried green and red days at all? sorry i can't remember your food diary posts. I know people lose a lot of weight doing mainly red days or even having a fishy week, lots of lean protein...:D
The only other thing i can suggest is portion sizes, i know this is a big problem with me. Are you stopping eating when you are satisfied/full?
It is hard going:(.. i'm still really struggling each day but as long as i'm not gaining then its a positive for me..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thanks scorpiod. Don't want to take over this thread (again!) with my moaning. Will stick at it for another month and see how I get on. Maybe my body still isn't used to all the changes happening at once and needs time to adjust! Although I don't know how long I can keep that excuse up....
If its still extremely slow progress, I might have to change to a different diet. I guess it can't work for us all.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
That's really disappointing copperjar - did your consultant have anything to add? Being positive, you know that as you've been following the pland and having a lot if fruit and veg then your diet has been really healtgy and you'll benefit from that.
So far today I have only had a bananah and coffee. I think I'll have a sandwich for lunch and then fish pie for dinner - we had chili instead last night.
I did my exercise group yesterday (meet in thd park and do some running and stuff) so I am feeling quite stiff today but it's doing me good.Trying to keep in budget.

I don't go to the groups gien - but have been in the past and I really am following it to the letter. I'm not against going - but I don't think it could tell me anything different to do. And then I'd be even more !!!!ed off at the money and lack of weight loss![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Would it be worth going again? For the support maybe? I've tried stuff like this before but without going to groups and hardly lost any weight, hoping this time will be different but I may be back Weds complaining!!Very £1,379.90

Yeah, I'm starting to think I might have to go to a group.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Well another "I don't believe it" from me on weigh in day.
I've followed it to the rule this week, followed all the advice from here, had two EE days. And I've lost 0.5lbI've been to the gym 3 times. It ridiculous.
I did have a sneaky weigh in on Thurs and was doing better, then 3 days later (and being just as good) I put on 1bIts so disheartening I could cry.
Have a :grouphug: and here are some suggestions for you. In no particular order I might add.
Measure yourself. when the scales show nothing, the tape measure might!
Look at your weight loss over the month not the individual weeks. Very hard to do I know but bear it in mind. A healthy loss is indeed 1 - 1 1/2 pounds a week and from another post, it sounds like you are doing fabulously well :j
Are you drinking enough water ? (particularly important if you are having lots of green days).
Are you weighing in the same clothes ? had you (ahem) been to the loo before weigh in ? incidentally - try only to weigh yourself once a week. stepping on the scales in between weekly weigh in can be quite self destructive - if you have a good show on the scales then you might be tempted to take a step back and relax - if the scales are showing not much then you might be tempted to throw the towel in so step away !!
plenty of variety is the key - try not to repeat a healthy extra b in the same week. try a new fruit or veg that you have not tried before.
exercise is a funny thing and lots of exercise plus healthy eating doesn't seem to equate to big loss ? don't know why but suffice to say, if you are sticking to the plan then results will show.
are you on any medication that might be throwing a spanner in the works ?
are you measuring everything ?
are you eating enough ?
have you actually sat down and read your food optimising book ? its very easy to get complacent ? forget stuff. spend a quiet hour checking it out - you will no doubt like me find out stuff you didn't know (eg can have cheese as a HEB when following green!)
be kind to yourself.
consider joining a group again - the ideas and motivation is invaluable :j0
