Hello Losers :T welcome in newbies, the more the merrier
Having real uncomfortable tummy troubles and have done most of the week so am gonna give the hm soups a miss this week and cut down on the veg. Goes against sw but I need the relief of pain. WI with .4lb loss but as per usual have the weekend bunged up feeling [also * week bloating] and have resorted to my powders [no effect yet]. Think I will change WI day to mid week and see if it makes any difference.
Can't get Dizzy off my mind, healing vibes sent her way :A. Hope MrsM is looking after herself & masterM :A too. Thinking of them both x x x
Hope everyone has a good Sunday x x xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Oops.... have just eaten my lunch and decided to finish the hoovering. Cat all settled on sofa after rudely being interrupted earlier. Switch hoover on and cat jumps about a mile in the air before hiding outside. Have decided thats enough hoovering antics for today. as if I need an excuse not to do it......
anyway, rejoined SW this week and have bought a 12 week countdown. I am treating this as a completely fresh start and all that has gone before is forgotten.
I have kept a food diary and have done one day green, one day red and two days extra easy.
I am pleased with my progress and I am looking forward to weigh in next week although slightly downbeat that as its my first week, I won't qualify for Slimmer of the Week.
I had too many syns yesterday and already today, I'm had at least 15 but I am hopeful that I will stay within the weekly limit overall.
Certainly its interesting how I haven't eaten any fruit yesterday or today (although I have had plenty of veg) but I eat lots at work during the week. (well munch on grapes and whatever I can get reduced in the supermarket).
I think weekends are definitely going to be my difficult days. I'm not sure yet whether to flexi syn my weekends or whether to allow 20 syns on saturday, 20 syns on sunday and divide the remainder for the rest of the week. Should I go for 70 syns a week (10 a day) or 105 a week (15 a day ??
What would you suggest?0 -
Med mum - you had a busy day in the kitchen.. they all sound scrummy meals!
Rummer - mini meringue nests are only miminal syns, you could fill them with vanilla flavoured quark and fruit.. or check out the recipe thread (link on page 1) they'll be some recipes there. I always make sure i have some jelly made in the fridge - i use yogurt to make them more creamy.. yummy and barely 1/2 a syn. To substitute for chocolate bars, i'd agree with the hifi bars or alpen lights.
Well done on the loss Ruby :T
Have woken up this morning craving toad in the hole.. so i need to work out syns for this (OH said he's craving chippie supper  so TITH has to be better surely)
So EE today
B - 2 toast (heb) with spread and lemon curd (2) satsuma
L - Macaroni cheese with leeks and chorizo (2.5) apple
T - toad in the hole (10 & Hea), mash, carrots, spring greens, onions
S - crisps (4)
I know i've gone over on syns but i'd rather this than end up at the chip shop - i dread to think how many syns fish and chips are.. especially since our shop is double normal portions!!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
First day of red today - would someone mind checking that this menu is ok for me please
Brunch (up too late for breakfast!) - smoked salmon, scrambled egg and toast with spread (HEB + 2 syns)
Dinner - Beef casserole (beef, carrot, onion, mushroom and colmans casserole mix) with mashed swede (2 syns)
Snacks - banana, apple, satsuma, curly wurly (6 syns), 2 x alpen light (HEB)
Milk in coffee (HEA)xxx Nikki xxx0 -
Definitely not bored but the food sounds fab!! If you didn't live so far away I'd be inviting myself round!!
And you'd be very welcome Maman.anyway, rejoined SW this week and have bought a 12 week countdown. I am treating this as a completely fresh start and all that has gone before is forgotten.

FE Fridays and Saturdays are definitely my most difficult days - Friday I spend in the kitchen and Saturday is always a family day, centered around eating! I then feel such pressure on a Sunday to be extra good before WI on Monday morning!
If I were you I wouldn't deny myself the syns. I think you're still struggling a bit to get yourself fully on plan so make use of your full allowance of syns and then later on when you've finally got to grips with it then you can reduce.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I have literally logged on to say that I have fallen spectacurlaly from the wagon. That potential non-loss of -4.5lb really upset me and I just lost every good intention I had. I'm struggling to get it back and feel myself falling into a familiar old cycle. Fall off wagon >> Eat lots >> Feel terrible about falling >> be even more unhappy about being overweight.
How to break this cycle. I'm currently at "Must step away from the biscuits"
I think I need to do a Tesco shop. Hardly have an SW food in. That's what I'll do..it'll keep me out of the kitchen too. Oh will I ever get out of this cycle?!
What a whinge bag I am!Sorry lol!

No, no, no Ammonite you are not a whinge bag - OMG don't we all recognise this - we've all been there and that's why we have this forum so that we can help each other get over it.
Get SW food in as quick as possible and write a plan for tomorrow. You can do this - you know you can - sending you some cyber {{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}Mediterranean Mum

Ammonite - we've all been there - and more than once!! But instead of focusing on what you feel is spectacular failure - look at what you've achieved so far - one slip is not fatal! The most important thing is to shut the door on it, forget about it, go get some SW stuff back in the cupboards and go forward! You CAN do it :T:TA diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!!
Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!0 -
well I was invited out to a friends last night. There was 6 of us invited and she was making lasagne & garlic bread followed by cheese & biscuits and gallons of red wine. I decided that the only way to cope with it was to go late after the meal and join in with drinks - my friend was fine with that. I got there at 7.30 (everyone else was there at 5pm) and got stuck into the red wine (my particluar weakness). I had 4 large glasses and came home at 11.30pm only to be v v sick at midnight (sorry TMI). Now normally I can drink wine for Scotland and am vey rarely sick but since New Year I have made a conscious effort to cut down on my 3 bottle a week habit and until last night had only had 2 small glasses since 31st Dec.
Maybe I just need to stop being a greedy pig with wine!
Sorry - just realised there is no actual point to this post but I am just rambling!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Ammonite, we've all been there, and the fact that you are trying to lose the weight and realise that you are stuck in a cycle is a good thing. Now you've realised this, you can start to overcome any triggers that make you binge eat and then leads to depression about your body image.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
