How much have you lost so far Nikki?

I originally lost 3 stone on weightwatchers back in 2004 - kept it off until last year when a stone and a half crept on (bad year), started on SW at the begining of December and have lost 6lbs since then and want to lose another stone and a half.

The basic rules for people who havent heard of this booster plan are:

•Have 3 meals a day•At each meal choose Original or Green Free Foods - both together if you like•Fill 1 third of your plate with Original or Green Free Foods•Fill 2 thirds of your plate with Superfree Foods
•Add 3/4 Healthy Extras each day•Choose your syns for the day •Snacks, starters and desserts that aren’t Superfree or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns, eg smoked salmon as a starter would be counted as Syns because it isn’t Superfree. A starter such as melon is Superfree.•Where something has different syn level for Original and Green count the highest the number of syns.

I'm not suggesting you do it from here on in but maybe for a week to give yourself a boost and make you feel better about it all.

Believe me I so know where you are coming from and hope you can get over this and move forward.

I also gave myself the aim to drink 3 glasses of NAS squash today - seriously dehydrated cos i only drink diet coke! 1/3 done so far...:T

I start every day with NAS squash. I used it to wean me of a large glass of juice with my breakfast. Pink grapefruit or Ribena are current favourites but if anyone knows one that tastes sharper I'd love to hear.

Well done Nikki:T If you've time, it really is worth posting up some meal plans. I'm confident that planning meals and wise shopping is the best way forward.

evilsquid, I like your idea of a student group. I've noticed recently how many of the people featured in the magazine have gained weight as students. Even if you had an 'open' group then if it was held on/near campus most of the members would be students. You could share ideas of how to cook with limited knowledge/facilities etc. Loved the hangover recipe!

I'm still having flexi meals most days and will until Saturday. I'm not complaining as it's good to socialise and not have to cook but not very SW friendly.

    My EE plan for today:

B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: fried potatoes and pickled beetroot (or similar concoction using LO veg)
D: out with friends so whatever they give me!!;)

Thanks im going to give it a go as need a boost after weeks of gain and maintain:(.

I need a change think with ee its easy to not get enough superfree
as consultant syas even with a soup made from all superfree ingrediants you still need to have 1/3superfree alongside the soup.
with success express its more like 70%superfree on plate but allows me an extra hex whiuch suits me.

im sure a week of salad and veg with lean meat fish
    reduced syns

    hopefully will work.

My baby boy is 9months now and im still breastfeeding but not as much.
so confused how many healthy extras I should have as was haveing 3-4 whilst on ee as consultant and leaflet said it was ok but wonder if thats slowing my weightloss.

I eat a ton of SF foods and I only do EE. When I plan the day I highlight the SF foods in red so that I can check that I'm actually eating enough of them.

At lunchtime I have a huge bowl of salad and add a tin of tuna and a hard boiled egg (unless I've had eggs for breakfast) - the only non-SF food is the tuna and my syned 1 tblspn of light may.

Tonight for instance I have a piece of salmon and then the rest of my plate will be stir-fried SF vegetables.

Nikki, 1lb a week when your 10 stone is pretty good going i think, 6lb is 4%(ish) loss of your body weight..

Got to be honest, I never lost a lot on EE either which is why i don't do it, it tends to make me have bigger portions and i tend to "tweak" the 1/3rd SF rule. :o

Thanks for the tips Med mum & maman.. i might start it off by putting loads of ice into it so it's more watery. I don't smoke or drink alcohol so i convince myself thats it ok, but it's still making me unhealthy and dehydrated so it needs to stop! 2/3 glasses done for the day..

Gailey, i would ask your consultant to review what you are having again as you're moving on from BF'ing, you need to make sure you are having enough calcium whilst it not hindering your losses..

I'm not sure i'd agree with her about the soup though, i've not heard of having to have 1/3rd SF with the soup if it's made from vegetables.. although i guess it couldn't hurt..
