Today's menu has been:
HEA milk for teas and coffees
sausage sandwich made with 3 slices w.w. malted danish & 3 quorn sausages
Huge omlette with bacon, onions, mushrooms peppers, chillies, peas, sliced tinned new pots and a tiny sprinkle of grated cheese. Few baked beans on the side.
Glass of red wine.
No SF today as haven't been in the mood for them.
Probably have a couple of drinks this evening (well, it is Saturday!).
Have a good evening everybody! x0 -
ktdd18. I joined this week but wasn't given any password. I have been given an online pin number which is personal to me, apparently and that is to go online with.0

Hi All,
I know you can get a password if you go to the classes to get online, does anyone know where I can get it without paying for the classes?
There is no password system any more. Group members get a PIN number that can only be used by them in conjunction with their email address. It was designed to stop the password sharing that went on before.0 -

OK Thanks for replying. I'll try to get along with my books and any advice I can pick up from here.0 -
I would be interested to know what everyone has for tea on Friday evenings ? For me Friday evening = its got to be something nice / a treat (but something easy) because its the end of the week and its like phew the week is done with and the weekend is finally here. But of course that doesn't mean a treat has to be something thats synful! s o I would be interested to know what your treat meal is ? I have in the past been more controlled with my syns in the week and relaxed a bit more at the weekend because thats when I struggle most.
Saying that though, I have been struggling lots recently but am slowly getting back into the mindset that things have to change asap because all the clothes I bought when I was at target don't fit anymore and I am creeping ever closer to where I started .... Despite this, I still seem to eat and buy all the wrong things and yesterday's synful day started with a grab bag of twirl bitesand well I am too ashamed to repeat what followed but suffice to say, I won't be buying an m&$ curry meal again anytime soon.....
Anyhow I have started to read this thread from the beginning and I am already feeling motivated :j and of course there is the previous thread too
re sausages, I buy the $ain5burys Be Good to your$elf cumberland sausages. They are 1/2 syn each on red and extra easy and 4 syns each on green. They are quite tasty in my opinion and worth the syn outlay :j
Someone on the early pages mentioned about rotisserie chickens. We have been told at our group that we should not assume they are free because apparently they inject them with oil ?
Yes its correct that there is no longer a weekly group password, when you join you are allocated a personal password instead. I know that SW offer online membership but I don't know how much this is ? I think there is bronze / silver / gold memberships ? ? ? I don't know if this works out any cheaper than attending an actual class though? It seems strange that in these current times, sw are not doing more for those who simply cannot afford to pay the weekly class fee ?
I keep an eye out on the weekly mags because they sometimes feature a sw menu and an offer of free membership or something so may be look out for one of those ?
Finally, as a slimming world follower/member/etc etc, please share one tip or idea that best sums up slimming world for you ?0 -
Flat Eric, my friday treat this week was a fish pie from the magazine. It was a bit fiddly but worth it. I usually go shopping on a friday morning so will often by sonething 'a bit special', perhaps steak or fish.
Today I haven't been super good.
B: bacon, toms, beans, muchrooms, fried egg and slice of wmbread (heb)
L: salad, chicken breast, goats cheese (15g, 3 syns) fruit salad and activia yogurt.half a bratwurst sausage (probably 3/4 syns), salad. 100 mls white wine (3 syns)
Snacks: plums, bretzel sticks (don't know syn value but am estimating 2 because they contain some fat).
Dinner was at a BBQ and I picked out salad that didn't have any or dressing on it so it should be free, but it was a bit dull!
I have been using 'salad light' just recently - it's from the fry light people and doesn't taste too bad and I can't get dressing here that's below 40cals per 100mls which isn't absolutely vile.Trying to keep in budget.

That reminds me....Ive got 4 backs of frozen blackberrys from MILs allotment stuffed in the back of the freezer still from last year I'm sure .......I could right kill for a crumble now
what time of year do slo berries come out for picking? slo gin is luvverrrrly, my friends hubby made some a few years ago and it was lethal stuff:eek: very very nice tho:rotfl:Voyager0001 wrote: »I fancied a sausage sandwich so I made myself one using those frozen quorn sausages and weight watchers wholemeal danish bread.
What does anyone else think of those sausages? I didn't like them much I though they had a wierd taste?
I was disappointed as I was looking forward to my sandwich!:(
Does anyone know of any other sausages I could try that would be low in syns? I've had the weight watchers pork ones but I'm not too keen on them either!
Thanks XThe quorn Cheddar and Onion are particularly nice imo, also Cauldron ones. They all have a syn or two in them but worth it for aquick breakfast (I defrost in the mike for a couple of minutes, slice lengthwise and slap onto the george foreman grill for a couple more minutes.

but I am still trying to find my way with stickin to target
Me, too, susie. I think I've probably had too many treats but I'm getting back on the wagon after the weekend and fingers crossed!I would be interested to know what everyone has for tea on Friday evenings ?
I look forward to Friday for my weeknd wine syns:o I'm one of those that goes syn free all the week and saves them up for weekends. A typical weekend for me foodwise would be something like gammon/steak & chips with tomato and mushrooms on Friday, a curry on Saturday (I make a batch in advance and freeze so it's easy like having a take away) and a roast on Sunday. That being said, we eat well through the week too but having the wine with it makes the weekends special.
Supper out tonight was quite SW friendly. We had kebabs (lamb/chicken), a sort of ratatouille with aubergines, tomatoes and onions and plain couscous. Pudding was a lemon tarte (which I refused but just had the berries that went with it (raspberries and blueberries) and a small scoop of ice cream. So other than the ice cream and a chocolate with coffee and some crisps with aperitifs I did OK.
All syn free meals planned for tomorrow.0 -
Morning all
Maman - your dinner with your friends sounded nice and very SW friendly. Did they know you're on SW? And well done on refusing the lemon tart (not sure I could have done....I love lemon tart!)
Am looking forward to dinner today - trying out a SW recipe - loin of pork roasted with a mustard, lemon and thyme glaze, and roasted veg with thyme (pots, parsnips, butternut squash, onion, leek).
Also....did SW wedges last night for tea....and my munchkin ATE them! He normally doesn't eat potato (fussy little blighter - prefers rice or pasta) but he ate all that I put on his plate and announced them as being "yum" :T:T
Not sure on menu for rest of day just yet. Will have a think and come back later
