  • oh blooming 'eck. I have just realised I made my chilli with passata. Just did it naturally without thinking. I've looked in the book (taking me ages to find anything, lol), and I can't find it.
Do I need to syn it, please?
  • oh boy that was probably the best meal I've ever cooked and comes close to being the best I've ever eaten. Mind, my memory is rubbish. Just so you know though, it was fab. The couscous, vegetables and mushrooms in the marrow had got crunchy on top by the time the marrow was tender, which made it mmmmmmmmmm. With the pud, the juice that cooked out of the blackberries and apples (and I confess to adding 2 teaspoons of 3-yr old home made damson rum too) I reduced to a jus to pour over the meringue when I served it, and I also rustled up some yoghurt with frozen blackberries in to make a frozen dollop for the side. ALLL FREE except for minimal syns in the damson rum and that wasn't vital.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Been for the footballers wife lunch and had a spinach, goats cheese and pine nut tartlet (that was the size of digestive biscuit - teeny!), plain jacket spud and salad - so it could have been worse. I don't like coffee so had two diet cokes - was quite pleased with myself. Didn't see anyone famous either - don't think WAGs go out in the rain:rotfl:

oh, did I mention the small piece of coffee and walnut cake? No? Couldn't have been me eating it then!:o

Not at all hungry so may have something little later -will see how it goes. I have walked the dog for about an hour today to try to minimse the damage.

That would exlain why WAGs stay so skinny. I can't imagine who eats the walnut cake, you were probably doing them a favour!

Your meal sound fab blackberry-rum, shame you didn't have visitors to show it off to! I must admit I generally only have a single course and only do puddngs when I have people round. Mostly my SFs are in the veg and I don't really have a sweet tooth. I make myself have fruit snacks to up the SFs when necessary. I've been picking (and freezing) blackberries today. I enjoy them with a dollop of FF yogurt and very MSE becasue I usually buy frozen summer fruits SS:j) from Asda.

Good to see you back dizzy.

actually I popped back to point out (to myself) that there were of course a few syns in the stewed blackberry and apple.

Maman, I'm not a pudding person either, rather have two dinners really. But now I no longer use the blackberries to make blackberry rum (cos I drink it if I do!) I have to do something with them, I can't waste them, they are in the backyard and just over the wall, I could practically pick them from my chair!:D I was going to make crumble for visitor but since he didn't come I decided to "meringue" it for me and sod him :rotfl:
