I think I'll be joining all you 'greenies' soon - went and bought the fish for the ocean pie in the mag and it came to 14€
Meat is so expensive here (apart from chicken) but the male members of my family really feel deprived if the don't have any. I need to look up some veggie meals that could just be supplemented wuth a bit of meat or chicken if wanted.
Today is going well:
B: slice of toast (heb) butter 2 tsp 4 syns, nectarine
L: ratatouile, rice and chili left overs, activia 0%ocean pie, brocoli and carrots.
Does anyone know if activia yogs have syns - it's FF peach and maracuja.
HEA is milk, snacks so far nectarine, plums, will perhaps have some hazlenuts later.Trying to keep in budget.

My husband and munchkin are the same. I have a kenwood mini chopper and pretty much puree veggies in this (courgette, onion, carrot etc). Then I mix it with a basic tomato pasta sauce. Great also to mix into shepherds/cottage pie. Careful of using too many strong flavoured veg though (such as swede) or they may notice!;)**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -
-2lbs
Not a bad one for only 5 days - looks like it was shaping up to be a -3lb week againTotal of 65lbs since January :T
That's amazing magnolia:T:TWelshWoofer wrote: »I'm off to meet a friend in footballers wife territory in Cheshire for lunch today and have no idea what will be on offer
Will report in on whether I see any footballers or soap stars later!
WelshWoofer, as most of the WAGs are so stick thin, it'll be interesting to hear if it's easy to get a SW friendly lunch on their patch.
I've been listening to a discussion on obesity on the radio this morning (not what Cameron really meant by The Big Society:D). Obviously there are so many contributory factors but I thought it interesting that now 1 in 6 meals are apparently eaten outside the home. If you couple that with how very difficult it is to buy anything out that isn't full of fat, sugar, mayo, salt etc. etc. I think that explains a lot.
I need to do some food shopping but can't get there yet. I have a list of healthy stuff to buy but meanwhile eating out of the freezer tonight and at a friend's tomorrow. That's only dinners though so not too bad.
EE for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEA milk for teas
L: HM lentil and veg soup, toast, fruitsweet and sour chicken with special fried rice from freezer:o I'm only having half a portion and I'll fill up with SW chips.
I've got a large melon that needs eating up, I'll go and dice it up and start munching......0 -
*hangs head in shame*
I had an awful day yesterday
Went to get a jacket and beans for lunch but they had none left  so I had to have a pasta bake - creamy cheesy sauce and it wasn't very nice
We had an organised buffet for a retiring collegue....caterers delivered early, room wasn't ready so it was left up to me to sort out.....I got crosser and crosser as the day went on and ended up nibbling at the buffet, got stuck in traffic due to the late finish so when OH went to the chippy I had a bag of chips.....then I went into 's*d it' mode..........:EasterBun
Today I feel cr*p _pale_and to top it off I've just found out we don't get paid until Tuesday - we all thought we would get paid early because of the bank holiday!!!!!! I've got food in so we won't starve, lots of courgettes and leeks from the lotty but no fruit
Fed up........
Today:
B: polenta, eggs, ketchup (1)
L: salad with sweet potato, feta (HEb) and seeds (3)quorn sausage, mash and peas or broad beans
S: a manky banana, yoghurt and will have my other HE's for supper.0 -

I did this time, usually they eat whatever I give them re veg. Neither of them like cauli so as the veg was frozen I nuked them in the micro then using hand blender blitzed them til smooth and used to thicken passata. Makes it a funny colour but tastes ok and not a veggie taste as the tomato is stronger. You can but try :rotfl:Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I thought all stock cubes were free? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
wow . . i was only away chatting on another forum for a few days and you guys have started a whole new thread (thanks Consultant31) and were on page 12 already!! Took me ages to catch up.
Still on the tank but slipped a little last night when a chinese take away jumped in my mouth. . . . don't you just hate it when that happens! To justify myself it was plain chow mein and rice only with a dribble of sweet and sour. In days of old i would have everything so i felt that was a change for the better - damn it was good too.
Back to the conversation about 20 weeks til 'C' = 20lb loss. I have exactly 11 months til i get married so if i lose just 3lb a month that will be 33lb gone forever. Easily obtainable when i look at it like that. Just as well really as i have brought the dress (an MSE bargain) but it is too small. but only 'at the moment'.0 -

Curry cubes aren't listed just the meat and vegetable. I'd work on them being free as they'd just be concentrated spices etc? It's usually granules that have to be synned.0
