I rejoined last night and have so far had a good day today.
Breccy - 2 weetabix, rice milk, banana
Lunch - Bowl of carrot soup (homemade) Cous Cous salad - plain cous cous jazzed up with herbs, stock powder, onion, peppers, courgette and carrot ribbons and some plain tofu added.
Tea - SW chips, mushy peas, veggie sausage (1?) grilled tomatoes and some mushrooms in fry light.
Snacks - fresh fruit - banana, strawberries, kiwi, aple, satsuma and a soya yoghurt (1?)
Not had any syns apart from the few listed earlier, might have some choc weetabix with rest of my milk - but need to look up what those are think it was + 3 syns or something but not really read the new book yet.
For some reason I felt the urge to walk home too - 3 miles a 45 min power walk - not done that in months and months - avoided going in any shops to avoid temptation, so some body magic done too.
Not bad for day 1 - am going through that initial bread/chocolate craving I remember having when I last did SW - think it only lasted about 3 days?Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

however, it only gives a value of 7 1/2 for the whole 90g tube. all i use is a dash. one tube def gives more than 7 uses and its lasted us 10 months (bought it when we moved in here) so i can confidently say its more than 15 which rules out realistically counting 0.5 syn for a dash.
but what on earth do i count for it? its def less than 0.5, but counting like 0.25 of a syn or less just seems silly to me?
I've never synned it and never will (Dizzy converted me too!); I also use Butter buds a lot and never syn them - they are a quarter-syn per packet, and a packet will do me for a buttery taste on 3 meals so would that be .07 of a syn per sprinkle, approximately :rotfl:
Tomorrow morning will weigh myself, think I'll move the scales into the middle of the floor then I shall remember to do it before I get dressed.
Nice to see a couple of returnees, if you see what I mean
Oh I know what I was going to say, I've always treated Ikea krisp rolls as the same as Pagen's, ie use 3 as a healthy extra. I'm not asking anyone to check, just saying, cos frankly I think the Ikea ones are nicer, they don't break up so easily. And I'll say again, as ketchup has been mentioned a couple of times in the past two pages, the recipe for home made syn free ketchup in the little booklet in this month's mag is yummy. I made half the amount, there's still some in the fridge. One evening I mixed some with ff yoghurt to make a tangy salad dressing too.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Tonight I made the above from the Nov/Dec mag . It was test time, I will admit I wasn't looking that forward to it but it was LOVELY. Don't think the o/h was that impressed with it as he normally has huge portions but not today.
This is one I'd recommend.
I did a few subsitutions as I used tinned tomatoes instead of fresh, spaghetti squash insead of butternut squash and green lentils instead of red lentils. (why buy when you have stuff in that you could use)
I now have a few portions to freeze so that will help with the meal planning and the o/h can fend for himself on those days
I have hm burger tomorrow and will sit down and menu plan for the next week.

Did I see that Pagen krisprolls are no longer a HE, as of this years new book? Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Oh dear. I almost fell down beofre I got properly started yesterday. The clutch went on my car and I couldn't get home to make the curry I planned. I ended up at my fiance's house eventually. He only had things like veggie burgers and puff pastry pies in for dinner. I eventually found some baked beans. The only bread was white, so I had the beans on 2 slices of white bread toast (no butter). I know I really shouldn't be eating white bread ... but was just grateful for something to eat by that stage.
Today I am planning:
2 shredded wheat with warm skimmed milk.
Grapes and apples for snacks
Another tuna salad plus baked potato to use things up.
Dinner will dpend on whether OH is able to run me to the shops, so will update later.
My car may not be fixed in time for the class I was hoping to start on tuesday, but hoping for the best.0 -

Morning all! Up early (5am ) to take parents to the airport for holidays, no point going back to bed now.
Yesterday wasn't brilliant as I had visitors and they wanted fish and chips for tea so I had a handful of chips (to shut my mum up!) and a choc digestive. I was good for the rest of the day though.
The star week has finally materialised (thankfully, the wait is worse than the actual event!) and I feel less bloated and have had a sneaky mid week weigh and I've gone down by another pound - will wait until proper WI day though to report it to make sure its real!
Today's food will all come from the planned shopping trip later...
Thinking of...
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - will find something yummy and syn free when shopping
Tea - quorn something, cheese, salad and new potatoes
Snacks - strawberries, pomegranate
Just read that back and its a bit vague isn't it?!0 -
Morning all, we are out for dinner tonight round dh's family so no idea what we will be having so will try and stay on plan with minimal syns up until then so it shouldn't do too much damage. So today's EE meal plan will be/
B - bacon sandwich on ww Danish (heb) and apple
L - either jacket with cheese and salad or a chicken salad
S - fruit (not sure what yet)
D - out at dh's brothers, hoping it won't be too bad.0 -
Morning, diet goig well though not looking forward to a bunfught in IKEA this morning.... gah. Why did we decide to do this???
My DH, who has been steadily bloating up over the past year, has finally knuckled down and in true man-on-a-diet style has lost half a stone in five days. Pretty good going! And of course really annoying because even though he has far more weight than me to lose he will undoubtedly speed past me at a rate of knots to goal! Still, it was really good to see him looking pleased and motivated this morning when he weighed. As for me, I've lost 4.5lb in five days, which is well on the way to reversing my horrendous overall December gain of 10lb...0 -
