Merrry Christmas all! I've had a glass of wine and 4 thin blocks of chokolit with chilli (it was called that) and otherwise syn free except 3 chilli olives (proper faggots, no fat cooked out tasted like liver mostly, green beans, cabbage with onions and spices, roast parsnips, roast baby potatoes unpeeled, I think that was all the lunch was). Why though do people think if food gifts are savoury they must be slimming? I've had the aforementioned chilli olives (in 3 kinds of oil!), chutney, savoury jelly, and a lime & chilli fruit puree supposed to be eaten with blue cheese. Either they mean well or they want me fat again. I suspect it's the latter. Sorry, won't b-i-t-c-h. Did anyone else get vibrating slippers or is that just me?

Hope you are all having a lovely day.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Mediterranean MumB - I love the fact that you eat persimmons all day! I wish they were cheaper here (now is the best time to buy them but they are still a bit pricey) - to me they taste like fudge, delicious! You lucky thing.

  • First WI for me today and boy am I feeling pleased with myself - -10.5lb and it's holiday week. I'm really really pleased - I planned, I wrote everything down, TOTM, and I even allowed for syns. I probably won't lose anything next week but that's ok I can accept that with a weight loss that big. I just need to keep up the work and keep planning.

Sorry to be so full of myself but....

Well, considering there is so much less of you to be full we'll allow it :rotfl:.

    That's FANTASTIC, well done :j

    Brilliant mm, delighted for you:T

I was quite good foodwise yesterday but did succumb to some glorious Spanish nougat:drool: (to be fair we bought it in September so I'd kept it for a special occasion).

More or less back on wagon today but had sausages with breakfast and planning a drink later. Otherwise it'll be free turkey, gammon, pickles, SW chips all the way!!!!

    Hope everyone's enjoying the holiday.

    well done mm.

I'm doing reasonably well so far - stayed out of trouble at the Christmas eve buffet ( baked spud, lots of salad, salmon, smoked salmon and low fat coleslaw.)

Yesterday - had breakfast as per plan ( porridge + fruit). Had a treat to nibble on whilst in the kitchen cooking - (a fresh pineapple) and for lunch had a baked spud with turkey, piles of superfree veg, 2 sausages and some gravy. Had a modicum of fizz and some pud with custard.

Later had a few chocs ( and i mean literally only 3/4 minstrels) and a nice plate of cold turkey and salad later followed by some cake and a bit more wine!

All in all I feel relatively in control - am doing s/w chips to have with cold turkey and veg for tea tonight. And I've got more smoked salmon for lunch - yippee!

Hope everyone else is having a good Christmas!

  • Well done CY sounds like you're really holding it together and not really denying yourself either which is really what it's all about isn't it.

Maman thanks for the support, really appreciate it.

Today is going OK although I was out this morning at a cookery class I go to once a month - the hostess cooks and we eat! There is always soup and she serves that up while she's cooking other stuff so I worked out that that would be my morning snack. Unfortunately what she was making today was pizza and pasta ideas. I really only had tasters but it was more synful than I would have wanted. The salads also were quite heavy in syns so I'm not feeling as virtuous as I was this morning!

This evening I'm making the Smoky one-tray pork and vegetables (substituting chicken for the pork) from the Easy Family Meals booklet from a couple of months ago. Any other snacks I have today will be fruit and I'll make a big salad to go with the chicken.
