Heading for winter with Slimming World

Hello everyone, another one here who would like to jump back on the Dizzy Tank. I have been going to group for about six weeks, it was going really well but then had WI tonight and have nearly put it all back on! Not unexpected but very very very irritating.
I have a holiday in Florida at Easter to look forward to and a school trip to Barcelona in July (I am a teacher). I don't want to be large, red and hot (in the wrong way) during these holidays! Plus now I am over forty the health consequences of being overweight are beginning to scare me.
I am going to meal plan in a moment, planning main dishes for the next week. I was given River Cottage Veg for Christmas so I am going to see how many recipes I can adapt from there. I have lots of veg from our veg box to use up.
Good luck everyone,

Not had a good day at all. I was up early for a 7am meeting and then it was mainly back-to-back meetings most of the day. I finally got home at 3.30 so lunch became early supper which meant I've been on the hunt this evening and couldn't be bothered to actually prepare anything - badly prepared day -
B – roasted vegetables, techina
S – 2 slices w/m bread, 2 fried eggs, salad
S – banana, 7 dried apricots half coated in chocolate, slice of sugar-free cheese cake (a client served it to me but at least it was sugar-free!)
L – left-over chicken and roasted vegetables with noodles (didn't get to eat this until about 4pm)
D – banana, left over oven chips! (I knew as I was nibbling them that I was doing wrong but couldn't stop myself!)Mediterranean Mum

I think you've answered your own question mm, planning is essential! I'm sure you'll get back on track very soon.
Here, we just seem to drift from Christmas to New Year. It's become so common here recently for it just to blend into one long holiday with 'bad' food on hand all the time. How does Hannukah work? You said it was 8 days (I think) but also that some of it was normal working days.
I'm still hanging on. I've had a SW breakfast and dinner but in between a white bread sandwich and some crisps and nuts. Plus festive drinking which is unusual as rarely drink midweek these days.:o0 -
It's 8 days but it's more a holiday for the kids than for us mere working mortals! The kids are on holiday from school and many families do take the time to take holiday but for me it's actually one of my busiest times for my business. There is no actual official holiday at this time of year - everyday, except Saturday (and for some Fridays too) is a working day here.Mediterranean Mum

Hi everyone and festive greetings, just wondered if anyone can post on here (just about to start reading the thread so I may be able to answer my own questions)! unfortunatly I had to stop going to my local Slimming World group a few months ago and I am looking to try and find somewhere to gain valuable ideas and support, hopefully in time be able to return them too!
I am planning on re-starting the plan in the new year. I have a huge amount of weight to lose so I will be around for a while!
Hope this is the right board but if not please could someone point me in the right direction.
Many thanks

Weigh in last nite... An I lost 1.5lbs! Delighted! I'm now only a half pound off my 4 stone award. I had a great christmas... Plenty of eating, drinking and being merry.. But I did my usual body magic so that must have saved my skin this week!0

Well done saidan and piglet, that's an excellent result for the time of year.:T
Welcome fairycakes, everyone's welcome on here whether you still go to class or not. Good Luck.
I'm thinking today may be my first completely back on plan. I always start well with a SW breakfast but....
We'll see how it goes.;)0 -
