I'm not sure whether the thread's quiet as we're all busy or because we're avoiding posting what we've eaten!:D

I'm just grabbing 10 minutes before I tackle the veg mountain! Doing that with 9 lessons & carols from Kings is my Christmas Eve tradition.

Still hangng on in there. I've had a SW breakfast and lunch, but for dinner I'm making a concession. I've done dauphinoise potatoes with low fat creme fraiche. Not as 'good' as using quark but heaps healthier than double cream.

    EE today:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat with HEA milk and banana
L: Golden Rice with stir-fry veg
D: duck, dauphinoise, carrots, peas, onions, broccoli
    Syns: dauphinoise and Christmas drinks

    Good evening all

    Hope we are all well,

Welshwoofer -I was 40 on the 22nd too :D -(although I still maintain im twenty-tooty) :p -hope you had a nice day.
    Redmel -I remember you
We have just got back from my mums and brothers -where a few festive goodies were consumed ;) -I can't resist mums butter tartlets...its not xmas until I have had 1 :rotfl:, and I have also come home with a home made trifle complete with proper home made egg custard not powdered  -hmmmmmmm now hubby doesn't like trifle (shame :D) -so I will make it last me a few days ....honest :p.
To try and counter act the rich food earlier we are having jacket potatoes with cottage cheese n salad for dinner tonight  -I can't believe how little rich food I can tolerate now .
ooooh I did get a compliment from my brother (most rare) that apparently I look the slimmest I have looked since I was 6 months old :rotfl: -It was after I had pointed out that if you just looked from the waist down I look like one of those little fat egg cups you get with legs on :rotfl: - my brother reckons that you would hardly know I was pregnant and certainly not over half way there -not that I mind, as long as its baby weight I don't care what he does to my body as long as he is safe n sound -I will sort out the aftermath once he is here...

We have a seriously quite and relaxed day planned for us tomorrow -just me, hubby n bump -I can see me sat on the sofa x-stitching for most of it :T
I hope everyone has a truely lovely and relaxed time...
only a few more days then we can all get back on the straight n narrow ready for summer :rotfl:
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5

  • Hello everyone and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL.

I am trying to be quite good over Christmas, I am trying to at least stay the same but would like to lose a little bit. I seem to have my head in gear again and have lost 5 lb in the last three weeks so now I only need to lose another 5 lb to be back within my target. We're off to my daughter's for the day tomorrow so I should be o.k. (except the grand children's selections packs will be a bit of a problem). They are with us for Boxing Day so it'll be cold meats, pickles and SW roasties.

I hope you all enjoy your Christmas break and get back on Dizzy's tank a.s.a.p. xxx
  • Happy holidays everyone and hope everyone has a wonderful time however you are all celebrating.

We had our big extended family meal on Friday night which I was dreading cos I didn't know if I could resist some of the things that were on the menu!

So Friday looked like this -

B – banana, persimmon, 3 hard boiled eggs
S – tinned pineapple cubes in light syrup, banana
    L – egg noddles
    S – orange, persimmon
D – Fish Tangine, humous, too much bread, Pumpkin Soup, green salad with avocado and orange & poppyseed dressing, stir-fried green beans in soya sauce

no idea how many syns there were in all of that but I also made several great desserts and was really proud of myself that I didn't give into temptation - I also didn't eat the chicken cos I'd made it in a fruit and wine sauce - so not SW-friendly!

    Saturday looked like this -

B - salad made with left over salad, hard boiled egg, beetroot, left over green beans
    S - banana
L - salmon burger with left over sauce from the tangine, egg noodles with roasted cauliflower
    S - banana
D - we were out for dinner and there wasn't much I could SW eat so ended up having too many crackers and too many fish balls (which are fried!)

I cut up the left over cake and chocolate covered apricots I'd made for Friday night and took them on a lovely dish as a gift for the hostess and then watched everyone else around the table eat it - I knew I couldn't safely leave it in my house.

Today it's a normal working day over here so hopefully it's a normal SW food day too.

    hi all - Merry Christmas

another bad bout for me - friday i went into bowel obstruction again - so spent 24 hours in pain and being sick......managed to stay out of hospital but only just - the GP gave me morphine at home so that helped.
Am now officially off plan - my tum is still so sore i'm just eating what i can manage - none SW friendly of course.

so off plan completely - MIL scales are being kind after 24 hours without food.

  • feel better Saidan - hope you get through the rest of the holiday pain free

I gave in to a tiny binge this afternoon - ate the rest of the chocolate sauce that was staring me in the face in the fridge - but it's gone now and so hopefully has the urge to binge
