Child- I can honestly say I got to target without doing deliberate body magic. I walk everywhere as I don't drive but that's it exercise wise. I do know if you have upped your exercise your body will protect your muscles with extra water so that could be the problem. Don't give up so soon, give it a chance but don't deprive yourself. Use ALL your daily syns, that's what they are for.
Sorry if you felt ignored but I personally have had events that have taken over my life recently and haven't always had the energy to respond. Your message may have just been overlooked. I hope I have helped if but only in a small way. Good luck with whatever you decide x xxIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I am really wanting some help please. I am desperate. A couple of weeks ago I posted about asking about body magic and if it made any difference. No one answered me.
That week I had stuck to it 100% done loads of body magic but maintained. I was really disappointed but it was my star week and I put it down to that.
I had been put off posting in here really.
This last week again stuck to it 100%, deprived myself of loads of stuff, did 30 minutes each day on the Wii fit which hadn't done before and I have put on .5lb. I am devastated. I honestly can't see the point of doing it.
I am depriving myself whilst fri Incidentally I haven't lost any inches either.
I had friends who ate fish and chps, banoffee pie and 2 bottles of wine this week and no body magic and lost 2.5lb.:eek:
My consultant has been really supportive but I just can't see a way through. They bang on about "stick to it 100% and do body magic and you will see the results on the scales" but clearly this isn't true or at least not in my case.
I just don't know what I can do now TBH and more than likely going to pack it in
I have a mate who weighed in with me last night and had maintained ans she was gutted - she'd stuck to it 100% and upped her exercise - we've tried to persuade her that she's got to give it another week or 2!!!! We all know it can be gutting to not lose what you think you should, or even put on but you just have to grit your teeth and try again!
Are you stuck in a rut foodwise? Do you eat the same things each week - can you have a go at some different meal ideas? The S/W website has loads of good recipies on it, as does the thread on here ( I think there is a link on P1 of this thread!)
I put on .5lb - but i'm more than happy with it - i had too much wine for DD2's 18th and what with the celebrations, the late nights and general end of term stuff I am just exhausted. but I have managed to put the walks back into the routine after the weekend hiatus and I am feeling better for them. DS has 3 shifts ending after 10pm this week so I have not yet managed an early night:mad::mad::mad: as I have stayed up to cook for him!
TIE - sending loads of coping vibes and hugs your way. You know we are here for you - and things WILL get better! Honestly!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
:santa2:child, so sorry you felt ignored.
All I can add is 'IT REALLY WORKS, STICK WITH IT!'
All your effort will definitely pay off in the end. Not everyone has regular weekly losses. I'm sure we can all find examples from our various groups. Generally those people will suddenly have a big loss to make up for it. I'm another who does almost no exercise. I have a weekly dance class which is more fun than exercise and walk when I can but I'm very lazy about that and I know I find excuses why I need to take the car or stay indoors. I think tie's right about the muscle building when you up excerise. Our consultant says it's sometimes worth measuring for lost inches, better fit with clothes etc. even if it doesn't show on the scales.
I know you're an old hand at SW but I find posting my menus on here really helpful. It acts like a food diary, helps me really look at what I'm eating and also has the benefit that others can comment if it looks a bit light on SFs or whatever.
Well done for posting again. Be back soon!!!
I'm out to lunch today and no choice of what's on the menu so I'll go flexi, keep syns to a minimum and stay on plan either side. WI tomorrow and I may have gained with Christmas meals (3 this week and copious wine syns:o) but it's only to be expected.
EE Menu:
B: NAS squash, fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: ????baked haddock, mushrooms, sweet potato wedges, tomatoes and maybe mushy peas
Snacks: should really eat rest of HEB with something?0 -
child - i understand your frustration. i can stick to plan 100% and do body magic - and still sts or put on.....
i found i was depriving myself - not using syns etc....spoke to consultant and this lovely lot here and decided to eat more and use my syns.....i also went to red days solely for a week as that helps. This is only my 2nd week of body magic.....
have had 2lb off last two weeks. makes no sense to me that i am eating more - but i feel less deprived now and happieri swing between thinking this won't work for me - but have prooved to myself it can. try doing red days only this week, use your syns, and exercise the same.
hi to everyone else :T
red today:
b: muller & 1 hifi bar (can't have 2 cos fibre content but not synning 1 - that seems silly!)

Lordy I'm having a difficult couple of weeks foodwise! Lots of Xmassy type meet-ups and all involve lots of food. Out for another tonight of eating and drinking. However, it's Christmas and I'm trying to lessen the damage with exercise and good behaviour on the days I'm not out. I'm going to have to take next week off as we're on a pre-Christmas skiing holiday with all the food (but at least there will be exercise) that entails. Then it's Christmas with all the visiting, tea, mince-pies and treats that goes with it.
I'm really looking forward to Christmas but my Wii fit isn't!
TIE - sorry to hear you've had more bad news. It's just never-ending for you at the minute! Maybe book a nice treat like a meal out or cinema for you and your OH to cheer you up? If anything, it really makes you think that life is too short and you should grab bits of happiness when you can.
Now if I could only steer clear of the big Roses tin........O/S Weight Loss 1.75/80 -
Hi All,
Sorry I have been MIA over the last two weeks, the few days off turned into a few more. I have however, got all the bad food cravings out the way that I haven't had in months and am ready to be good again. I also have some added motivation in that I have booked up to go on a diving holiday for a week from boxing day, so have 12 days to stick to plan! Diving is actually what inspired me to lose weight in the first place a few years ago as I looked awful in a wetsuit. I am also going skiing in the New Year, so need to make sure I can fit into my ski wear as well.
So today has been green:
B - 71g Philly Light (HEA) and 5 Caramel Snack a Jacks (15 syns)
L - Med Veg stew with Pearl Barley
S - Banana
D - Jkt Pot with Beans and 3 x Babybel light (HEA)
I will probably have some ryvita as my HEB, but am not hungry right now. I also went for a 12k run so burned 988 cals doing that and am avoiding the bar tonight and tomorrow. I move out on Friday so the alcohol temptation will less.
Right I'm going to catch up with the thread.Slimming World Restart Again 14/02/11: 152lbs
Target Weight: 133lbs0 -
Oh TIE - if hugs could make it all better I would send you lorry loads - thinking of you sweetie (((hugs)))Mags - who loves shopping0

Wow dimbo, those are very active holidays you've got planned. Plenty of Body Magic there.
When you move out, will you have your own kitchen? I think you've done so well to find a menu that fits your current arrangements.Lordy I'm having a difficult couple of weeks foodwise! That's exactly what I'm trying to do wbb (although can't honestly say I've done any proper exercise).
Fortunately today's lunch ended up buffet. I had a wholemeal looking roll, put some cold beef in it. I also had some bacon rasher things (M&S?) there was visible fat but they were good. A very few crisps, piece of carrot cake (SF?;)). Could have been far worse.
Back on track this evening until tomorrow evening....yet another buffet:eek:0 -
well done to you all keeping on sw during the xmas buffets etc.....i have no will power so am sure when i get to mil for christmas i'll go mad on the choccie tin
red today:
b: mullerlight
l: sardines on 2 nimble (heb)chicken caserole - has potatoes in it so (heb)
sn: apple, milk (hea) crisps (syn)

WI for me this morning and I lost another 1.5lbs. So I'm exactly on the lower end of my target range going into Christmas. I am pleased but starting to get a bit concerned that I'm losing without trying. My consultant says it's not unusual. At least I needn't feel too guilty if I over indulge a bit in the coming weeks.
My EE Menu for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, grapefruit
L: beef stew with vegliver & onions, mash, carrots, cabbage, gravy
Syns: grapefruit was tinned but I didn't have the juice so I'm ignoring that, gravy
Snacks: I'm off to a nibbly party tonight but I'm having dinner first so I won't be hungry plus I'll take something SW friendly so there'll be something I'd enjoy0
