    hi all, ;)

if its not personal a question, would some of you mind posting, or even PMing if you like, your weight and size...

why i ask is, i am having bother setting a final target weight

    i started out SW at over 18 stone...and a size 22...:o:o:o
i initally said, i didnt care what weight i was, as long as i made a size 14.

on wednesday...for the first time in a year....i went clothes shopping...and was seriously shocked to find....i was fitting into a size 14 :D

    now, i know i could make a size 12...

but my problem is...i am a 14...and finding theres around a stone between sizes for me (i have lost 3 stone 8)

    so i wanna be a 12...so i would have to loose a stone....maybe 21lbs for comfort...

    but....the real problem is...i am 14.7 now...and even a stone an a half off that....leaves me 13 stone....

i never would have thought that size 12 and 13 stone was the same thing?

according to the SW chart....my max weight should be 11.11...but on the basis of my theory of 1 stone or so between sizes..that wud leave me an 8 / 10...which i dont want to be...

so i suppose...my question is....is there such a thing as an average weight...for an average size 12...

    can anyone help?

Not certain i can help but I'll try:-

    I started out at a size 22/24 and 17 stone 9.5lbs.

    18 months later I am a size 16/14 and weigh 12 stone 8lbs.

I have lost inches off my hips and legs (13 to be precise) , but not so much off my waist and boobs.

I know in my heart of hearts that a size 14 now is not what it was in my youth (30+ years ago.)

I am 5'4" - I joined slimming world with a rough idea of losing 6 stone - ie being under 12 stone.

That would still leave me over my ideal weight, so I am now thinking of a target of around 10 and a half stone ( that would be 100lbs off!) - but ONLY if I can keep losing in the next few months - I haven't actually set a final target yet.

Weigh in tonight and I'm not sure if I'll have lost - I suspect not - youngest's 18th proved more disruptive than I expected - I didn't go for my usual walks and i did consume some champagne. Roll on the end of term at the end of the week - at least I'll be able to get out for a proper series of walks...

    Well done piglet and saidan.

Sorry can't really say much about red or green as I've never learned how to do them:o Saidan, can I ask where you get your tinned sardines? Asda doesn't seem to have had any in brine for ages and I'm down to my last tin.

Had a meal out at Zizzi's last night. Great company but food was disappointing, what a waste of syns! Today I'm firmly back on SW tank for the day.

    EE menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk plus teas, banana
    L: beef stew
D: pork stir fry with loads of veg
Syns: probably none unless I use noodles with the stir fry

thank you so much for sharing your personal info with me,

i have yet to set a final target myself,

i am 5ft6, and when i started SW at 18stone 1lb:o, i knew in my heart...i had around 6 stone to loose :o, but i just could not see that far ahead,

now i am down to 14 stone 5lbs, i am starting to believe that there is a finishing line for me,

i am thinking of a target of 11.12, so with the 3lbs leeway, that will leave my range 11.9 / 12.1,

another 2 1/2 stones to loose,
at the mo, my next goal is to get my 4 stone award (at 14.1) and then just to see 13.13.5 on the scales

    just to see the 13...

then i will take it from there....1/2 stone award at a time...and see how it goes,

tho, regardless of weight, i would be more than happy to get into a size 12:D

    I'm 5ft 5 and weigh 10 stone 11 1/2. I'm the bigger end of a size 12 on a bad day, when my weight is about 10 s 6 I'm a perfect 12.
10 years ago I was size 6/8, now I'm in my 40's it's all piling on, getting very comfortable and not wanting to leave!

My goal is an easy size 10 and want to lose maybe a stone or stone and a half :)
Saving as much as possible to replace all the things I've had years and are on their way to the knackers yard

Ok MORE bad news in the TIE household, My uncle [Dad's brother] passed away last night. My Sister was told this morning and she told my hubby who thought it better to wait until I got home from work to tell me [seems he was right as fell to bits again]. It would also have been my eldest sons 27th Birthday tomorrow so am feeling really emotional anyway. I want to say things can't get any worse but everytime I do something else bad happens. Having a real bad time and struggling to cope with life at the moment. Having to be all jolly at work isn't helping matter either, I get home and crumple most days. Be glad when this week is over :(

Please, Please, Please can I have some good news soon :(

Hope everyone else is having a better day than me. Sorry for wallowing in self pity, I just want to stamp my foot and shout IT'S NOT FAIR :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi, TIE so sorry to hear your awful news, you have certainly had more than your share recently. You are certainly not wallowing in self pity; what you've had to deal with over the past few weeks is more than most of us could handle, and you are being quite amazing in holding it together. Please look after yourself and go to doc if it all gets too much. How did you get on with the thyroid thing btw?

i wasted my syns today on random things like jam, spread, mash etc....now i'm dying for some choccie but can't boo hoo. might treat myself to a bubble bath instead

So sorry to hear your bad news tie, I think you've every reason to say it's not fair. I admire you hugely for holding it together.

I did have a few syns tonight, snaffled a cracker with camembert from DH. It was yummy but I mustn't make a habit of it.

Out for lunch at DD's house tomorrow. I think it's very unlikely to be SW friendly. I'll minimise the damage with a SW breakfast and dinner but as she's making the effort it'd be rude not to eat whatever she gives me. I find eating out the hardest, especially in other people's homes.

I am really wanting some help please. I am desperate. A couple of weeks ago I posted about asking about body magic and if it made any difference. No one answered me.

That week I had stuck to it 100% done loads of body magic but maintained. I was really disappointed but it was my star week and I put it down to that.
I had been put off posting in here really.

This last week again stuck to it 100%, deprived myself of loads of stuff, did 30 minutes each day on the Wii fit which hadn't done before and I have put on .5lb. I am devastated. I honestly can't see the point of doing it.
I am depriving myself whilst fri Incidentally I haven't lost any inches either.
I had friends who ate fish and chps, banoffee pie and 2 bottles of wine this week and no body magic and lost 2.5lb.:eek:

My consultant has been really supportive but I just can't see a way through. They bang on about "stick to it 100% and do body magic and you will see the results on the scales" but clearly this isn't true or at least not in my case.

I just don't know what I can do now TBH and more than likely going to pack it in

Quick question: which mince do you use for bolognese/chilli/cottage pie? I've been using the 5% fat one in Waitrose but I noticed today it was £7.65 a kg which is exorbitant as I'm only paying £4.44 per kg for roasting joints in Asda at the moment. Unfortunately I don't have a mincer or I'd make my own.
I tend to use soya mince for chilli, you need to add loads more seasoning and flavours than usually but at least there's no gristly bits. And it's quite cheap. But you've reminded me of an old chilli recipe that seemed more genuine that didn't used minced meat at all, but chunks of beef that were marinated in spices overnight then cooked up into a spicy stew ... boy it was lovely I wonder where I put the recipe.

Sat i lost one of my guinea pigs, Willow - she was old but i think the cold night might not have helped & her cage mate, Mia, i was going to try and put with another piggie, Molly, but she wasn't eating & when a piggie doesn't eat it is bad news...

My mum got her 2.5st award last week - but she is still losing weight even though hit her target over 1/2 stone ago! She is starting to look ill & is having tests at docs - we should know by end of week what is wrong!

ETA: Just had phone call from Vet - Molly passed away :(
Poor Nessie, sad time for you too (guinea pigs). And I hope your mum's excess weight loss gets sorted out.

I shan't mention my evening eating because it was sinful, greedy, piggy and I feel sick which serves me right. Does everyone find that once they are in the SW habit bad food (especially in excess) makes you feel ill, part of it may be psychological :rotfl:anyway back on the wagon for breakfast. A solely chocolate supper is not good. Ooops didn't mean to say it out loud.

Dizzy surely you can give yourself a bit of leeway for a week or two, you've done so well.

Anyone know how Mrs M and her bean are getting on?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
