Thanks to all for your kind words :A you really are a lovely lot x x
Well we have another busy day of hospital visits & mum visits again, Ive tried to plan ahead (and avoid getting caught out by the vending machine or cafe there;))
Having an EE day today and started with a bowl of oats so simple & half a bag of satsumas.
Lunch was some Gammon that we grabbed from Asda on the way home last night (and bunged in the slow cooker overnight) with some luvverly new potatoes & a bag of steam fresh veggies from the freezer...I'll grab some more fruit at some point.
I've got today (and tomorrows) tea in the slow cooker already - a mahoosive big stew with lots of lovely random veggies in....and just for good measure I'll be having some savoy cabbage with mine too! though we probably won't get to eat until around 9pm when we get home from the hosp tonight.
My apartment looks like a bombsite....and the ironing pile is waaaaay out of control (you know how I don't exactly keep on top of the ironing at the best of times:o well I've still got 3 weeks of Cuba holiday stuff to iron and put away on top of the 'normal' stuff:(:o gaaaah I can just feel those food fairies waiting to strike me down with a chocolate induced attack:mad::p
Gotta get my skates on (now that would be a funny sight huh:rotfl:)
Be good everyone....the tank door is open;) :A x x0 -
you are all doing very well
I went out to xmas lunch & panto with the LOs today. Was really nice but not sure how many syns i consumed with the white chocolate mouse! (was yummy though)
EE today:
b: pineapple, 2 nimble (heb) & marmite. spread (2)
l: turkey, carrots, sprouts, parsnips. Gravy (syn). White choc mouse (syn)
d: pork steak, pickled beets, egg, gherkins, cucumber & tomato.
milk in teas (hea)
i have put butternut squash in the slowcooker for tomorrow.

Lol at chocolate mouse!
Dizzy is it worth paying an ironing company to sort ur pile out just this once? Might take some of the stress off you
Just had a yummy tea, I sliced potatoes very thinly, fried themin fry lite threw some mushrooms in there and added 42g of low fat cheese..... amazing! Tasted so naughty and was all free on green ( plus my HEA for cheese) yum yum! Hada huge plate of pasta for lunch, feeling vvvv full now
Are mugshots free on green? I have seen them mentioned a few times0 -
...
I'm going to bed now before I open & eat one (or both) of the boxes of choccies that I've just bought for Xmas pressies from Asda today..........GET AWAY FOOD FAIRIES:mad::rotfl:
Dizzy, the biggest hugs ever coming your way - don't ever worry about letting it all out here, none of us is immune to bad and sad things happening. Id do your ironing if I lived anywhere within 30 miles of you,I would! Go for ammonite's suggestion of paying someone to do it this once.
And you've just reminded me I ate something called chocolate medalions or something from the Oxfam gift shop. They were meant as a gift but the packet looked stuffed and one was broken .... there were nuts and fruit on so somewhat healthy.Lol at chocolate mouse!

:T thats something I'd never thought of,but thats a really good idea just this once I suppose. I generally only do the ironing when I really have to as my vertigo and balance are a !!!!!! when ironing (especially anything with a pattern....it makes me want to throw up)
Me and the ironing board have a kind of love hate relationship:o (I LOVE to hate it :rotfl:)
MUGSHOTS....they are free on green (but not the cheesy ones)blackberry-rum wrote: »Dizzy, the biggest hugs ever coming your way - don't ever worry about letting it all out here, none of us is immune to bad and sad things happening. :A As ever my lovely Blackers, you are an angel x x x
Just got back from Hosp. Mum In law was sleeping when we got there, so I ended up going to the cafe & having a latte & sharing a bag of seabrooks beefy crisps......
bum bum bum:mad: syns blown for the day:o
Anyway she did wake up for a little while when we got back, but looks really drained today - literally - she kept showing us all the huge bruises they have given her where they've been trying to take blood.... she swears they are keeping vampire bats there and feeding them from herbless her.
Off for my bowl of stew now.....will have to have some more SATSUMASafter it as I really cant be bothered cooking the savoy cabbage I was going to have with it to bump up the superfree!
nighty night all.....sleep tight x x0 -
:santa2:Quiet here today, guess you're all out shopping! I amazed myself with my restraint yesterday. We ended up in town over lunchtime and I was absolutely starving. DH had a German Bratwurst from the Christmas market but I managed with my 'emergency' satsuma in my handbag!:D
Quick question: which mince do you use for bolognese/chilli/cottage pie? I've been using the 5% fat one in Waitrose but I noticed today it was £7.65 a kg which is exorbitant as I'm only paying £4.44 per kg for roasting joints in Asda at the moment. Unfortunately I don't have a mincer or I'd make my own.
My EE menu for today:
B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Baked beans on toast, bananaroast pork (cooked on a bed of carrots, onions and celery) with SW roasties and parsnips and cabbage, gravy
Syns: weekend wine:jgravy0 -
Dizzy - my Mum craved satsumas when she was pregnant with me. On the Christmas eve, she made dad go and stock up whilst the shops were shut. He came back with 96 and they were gone by Boxing Day  I'm surprised I didn't come out with a tinge of orange!
Re: the ironing, we had mountains to do when we got back off a 6 week holiday (honeymoon) and I thought "ahh sod it let's just pay some one"....then I looked at how much we'd spent and decided it was time for hubby to learnbut they're quite reasonably priced for a one off.
So I've just had the "let's try the party dresses on for the party dress season".......naturally none fitted me, so with this in mind I had already purchased 3 just in case. I then had the (not-so) wise idea to let hubby help me pick one. I was desperate for him just to be honest and say "you look like you're wearing a tent" but he was very, very sweet and tried to be tactful then got annoyed because I was trying to get his honest opinion ("it looks fine" to all three just wasn't cutting it).
It made me realise how upset I am about the way I look in fancy gear and how desperate I actually am to lose some of this weight. Then I realised what a long, hard slog it's going to be and I've disintegrated. (I do realise there are far more important things in life as evidenced on this thread in recent posts, but I still feel sad about looking like a whale).
How on earth do you keep yourself going? I'm only on day 4 and finding it easier than I though, but I can't help the fact I like food, nice food at that! I've got 21lb to lose to make me look tolerable and 54lb to lose to get down to my lowest ever weight (I very much doubt if that will ever happen again). I usually do OK on the first week or two, but sustaining this sort of healthy eating is what I find hard.
So moan over, I need helpful tips from those at goal and those who have been losing well over long periods.
Oh...and I'm going for dress #1 despite looking like Adele in it!:(0 -
maman - I only ever buy Costco mince. It is lean (not sure about how it compares to the price of other mince but I buy it when it is on offer). It doesn't have that pellety taste that many mince beefs have and as I'm not a huge mince lover anyway, it is the only way I'll eat it!0
