Heading for winter with Slimming World

Well the week has gone to pot and I am expecting nothing but a gain tomorrow *very frustrated* springs to mind.
I'm finding it hard to be motivated particularly with the temptations this month brings, the cold weather, being disorganised and trying to save money on my food bill at the same time.
It would be very easy to say SOD IT and think about SW in January but that will do me no favours.
How is everyone else planning on dealing with xmas. Its only one day?! but of course all the faff either side as well!
Can anyone offer any suggestions of warm easy to prepare and cheap foods to see me through the rest of the month ?? and particularly any coping strategies for xmas ?? Thanking you all kindly :j
so my gain last night was a solitary pound. not too bad but still frustrating. Started well today but gone a bit pear shaped this evening. not sure why I self sabotage (testing my OH's battered chicken from m&$???!! plus a veg. spring roll) then lots of oven chips (although served with HEB ham???!!) and fried eggs. Hmm. severe talking to needed. Not long till xmas and want to shift some pounds!!
My action plan for xmas is not to buy it so no tins of chocs, no biscuits, no tree chocolates, no crackers, no cheese, nowt! xmas day is turkey will stuff my face with this and veggies so no room for xmas pudding (not that I like it anyway) Will go easy on the sherry (no falling alsleep on the sofa and having embarrsing photos taken of me this year!)
Limiting social stuff to the bare minimum. Not going to be bah humbug but not going to be partying to the wee hours every night.
Intending to go to class in between xmas and new year. Want this to be my best SW xmas ever!
Merry xmas all :xmastree:0 -
anyone else finding mulerlights watery? not sure if i got some 'bad' ones - opened a cherry one earlier and it was really watery with bits floating in it....chucked it but not sure if it was ok or not (date 10/12)...
does anyone else go to bed thinking of tomorrows food plan? or am i just greedy?

I have had Mullers (and other yogs) like that. The first one I binned, then I realised if I just stir them up they are fine! I think the ones with bits of fruit in are more prone. And I think about food day and night, always have. It's not greed, it's planning :rotfl::jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Well done Cycling Yorkie! :T:T:T
FlatEric, you just reminded me. I went to Lakeland the other day (shop) but phoned ahead as I wanted the Giant Family Cracker. I didn't want a 20 mile drive to find they had sold out. The kind of cracker you pull. It is one cracker about 3 ft long filled with fancy dress disguises. Anyway I got to the till with my other purchases and the assistant went off to look for the cracker I'd asked to be set aside. She was in the stockroom for ages but couldn't find it. It didn't matter as there were some in the shop so I popped back to get one. "ooooooh" she said as I returned. "I was looking for a little pack of cheese crackers". It made me laugh but I don't know about the people in the queue behind me.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Try reheating slowly with grated raw potato, or do some mash and add thatA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Split red lentils. Cook for about half an hour with a cupful in there, will thicken it nicely.0 -
Stayed the same again this week. bah. I suppose it could have been worse but still, this is going much slower than I had planned. Am hoping the 30 day shred will start shifting some pounds soon.0
