When I was 10st7 I could squeeze into size 12 jeans, more comfortably a 14 though and probably a 10-12 on top. I'm 5ft4 with most of my weight on the bottom half of me !
Now..well I can't even think of the size 12 jeans, I might be able to fit my ankle in them but thats about it!
Doing really well on red/green up to now.
Saidan -Going to try 3 slices of Nimble white and see what happens, if I hit a wall or don't lose then I'll reduce that to two as per the book. I only had half of my potato allowance(other HEB) to compensate. I do realise I'm making up my own diet here!! Thanks for letting me know though
Today:
B - White Nimble x 1 (HEB), Small eggs x 2
Milk for tea - HEA
L - Chicken pieces in balsamic (any syns? I wouldn't have thought so as it is pretty much just vinegar!), salt and pepper.
Babybel Light x 1
D - No idea what to have for dinner. I'm not feeling that hungry at the moment but still lacking inspiration!0 -
Aw ammonite. I share your pain. My adult 'resting' size has mostly been a size 16. A 12 was utterly unthinkable. In fact when I mentioned to my husband that that was my target he looked incredulous and said, but can you be a 12? As if there was something that made me inherently a 15
And I have to say that every day I put my jeans on and they still fit, I get a little thrill of amazement. It's a good year and a half now that I've been a 12 which also astonishes me. Not that I haven't been pushing on the edge of a 14 now and again, but I've managed to rein it back in time.
Talking of which, 30 day shredders, can I ask a question. I'm on day 5, and presume I'm to go on to level two on day 11. But I can't imagine I'll be anywhere near being able to do all those push ups properly. They're exhausting! Did you all manage to do all the push ups before moving on?0 -
The height/weight/size thing has been the bane of my adult life. Before ever starting SW I was size 18, 12st 9lb and 5' 5. After getting to target [10st 2lb] I was a size 12 [still 5' 5
]. I had said when I got to a comfortable 12 then I would stop. Still at 10st 2lb I went down to size 10 and was so excited. Life took over, meds needed and weight crept up to 11st 12lb but somehow still a size 12. Am now 9st 5lb and look ill/skeletor [from He-Man so ugly too :rotfl:] but STILL a size 12 and can't fit into a size 10 so go figure.
The ill look I think is down to my age and the fact my skin hasn't got the ping back of youth anymorewhich is why I look gaunt [read haggard
] as I weighed a lot less than I do now when I met hubby aged 18 but funnily enough was STILL a size 12 then .
I suggest forgetting the scales and judge your target by how your clothes fit and how you feel in yourself :A [wish I could take my own advice :rotfl:]Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

TIE, gauntness can come from grief. When my mum died last year I began to look really haggard and ill, even though I was only a few pounds less than I am now. no one would call me haggard now!0

Hi all. Spent all evening catching up with all.
Went to London for week so very very afraid to step on scales.:o (walked for hours though doing the tourist thing)
Only realised that your measures are smaller than ours (NI) so was on the doubles!;)
Anyway back on the tank now although have chest infection and on antibiotics so eating all over the place.0 -
Hello everyone
Just found a quiet half hour to try catch up on the posts I've missed (wowzer you lot can natter!!:D)
Managed to get to group this week just to WI and was elated with a 5lb loss!!! :j:j so thats a little chunk off the 13lb damage that 3 wks in cuba did:o
Had one hell of a crappy week with other things though - Mum in law was rushed into hospital after starting to have some severe pain & sickness, it turns out that the tumour has caused a blockage in her bowel which needs a stent putting in to prevent the bowel rupturing. They then had to transfer her to a different hosp for this to be done, but they can't actually do it now until they have done some 'pre treatment'
Then I went with MY mum for her review with the breast cancer specialist, the 3rd lot of drugs they have tried her on are no longer stopping the cancer growing & its getting 'very active':( She is unable to have Chemo or Radio due to other health conditions making it too risky (her blood would clot) So they are going to have to as a last resort try to do a double Mastectomy under local anaesthetic (again she can't have an anaesthetic because of poor health...but any surgery is risky because of her blood clotting/not clotting risk-the cancer drugs have made her blood really unpredictable lately)
Anyway they wanted to get her in before Xmas....but she asked to wait until early January, because of whats happening with MrDs Mum and she hasn't got that long....they won't even say if she will see Xmas:( so we are just waiting now for Mums Op date.
Sorry to be a big moaner - I seem to have lost my 'JOLLY HEAD' somewherex x
TIE I hope you're feeling a bit better hun? I've just seen that you may have under active thyroid?....I've had it for the past 22 years (it was overactive but I had to have it surgically removed so I'm on thyroxine now) its a real bummer as your thyroid basically controls every other bit of your body - so I'm not suprised you feel rubbish most of the time!:o once they get you on the correct dose of meds though and you stabilise then things soon fall back into place;)
I'm going to bed now before I open & eat one (or both) of the boxes of choccies that I've just bought for Xmas pressies from Asda today..........GET AWAY FOOD FAIRIES:mad::rotfl:0 -
Morning, I've not been on for a week. I've been so busy with my new job, plus the kids have all been ill.
I have lost another 1lb , so that's 8 lb in total since starting 3 weeks ago. I've stuck to the plan until last night, when I had a curry with nan and pakora
But I'm working at 12-8 and I walk loads and it's hard work, so hopefully I can burn that off.
I'm having an EE day.
B- eggs, beans, mushrooms followed by fruit
L- cheese salad sandwich, mug shot, loads of melon
D- hm stovies (free)
I take my dinner to work, so will have a muller lite too. I'll try and skip syns today. Maybe a wee kit Kat or a banana at my break, as I sometimes feel like keeling over.
I'll have a wee read back. And try and try and stick around as it helps me loads .:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Good to see you posting dizzy and well done on the 5lbs off:T So sorry to hear all your bad news. If moaning helps then go for it!!!
I made a big pot of SW chicken curry and left it overnight to marinate so that's dinner sorted. Like nic, I am going to have a pakora and a samosa with it as a treat and maybe a tiny bit of mango chutney.
EE menu planned:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
L: sandwich?SW curry, SW chips, rice
Syns: weekend wine:jbits with curry0 -
Well done for your loss dizzy, 5lb is a great loss. I am so sorry to hear about both your MIL and Mum. Cancer is the nastiest disease
big hugs xx
I am still sticking to the plan, went a bit over on my syns last night as thought Cadburys heroes were 1 syn each (think they are 1 WW point - hence confusion)...they are 2.5 each so ended up on 21.5 syns! Oops. That will teach me to check.
I had Chicken Fajihtas for dinner last night. Had a Warbuton's Square wrap which I halved to make 2 wraps (seems they are 8 syns in total, so 4syns per wrap), did them with chicken and mushrooms (Can't eat peppers) and added a couple of points for 30g sour cream. Don't have salsa or guaca they were very tasty!
Having a green day today as I'm craving carbs. Had rice krispies for breakfast to mix things up (love eggs but dont want to get fed up of them) so that was 5.5 syns. Will probably have the lemon and rocket rissotto I made and froze a few weeks ago for dinner (no syns) . Not sure about lunch yet, maybe Jacket potato with tuna as a HEB. Need to make up for yesterday's sinning!0 -
hi all,
if its not personal a question, would some of you mind posting, or even PMing if you like, your weight and size...
why i ask is, i am having bother setting a final target weight
i started out SW at over 18 stone...and a size 22...:o:o:o
i initally said, i didnt care what weight i was, as long as i made a size 14.
I started at a shade under 20st and am now bang on 18. Gone from a 20 to 18. However, I'm 5'10 so it's spread out a bit :rotfl: I remember when I was 13.5st and I was a 14. Seems to translate as 2st per size in me!Talking of which, 30 day shredders, can I ask a question. I'm on day 5, and presume I'm to go on to level two on day 11. But I can't imagine I'll be anywhere near being able to do all those push ups properly. They're exhausting! Did you all manage to do all the push ups before moving on?
I've never done a full push up in my life :rotfl: I did girly pushups all the way through level 1, albeit my legs did get further and further back. It was the only thing I stayed with the modified version of in level one, I wouldn't worry about it. Worry about level two instead  I am actually having a short break from shred as I really hurt my ankle slipping off a step and am doing a bit of pilates instead"Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0
