Changed plan slightly, made my chicken a B choice which means i get an extra A rather than syn my cheese.

Had a coffee(A)

Have some veggie soup on the boil at the moment ready for tea (my easy can't be bothered to cook properly tea).
The gym wasn't great and the pool was a little plunge type thing so won't bother with that as there is no scope to do any lengths in it.
Oooo Dizzy you are having an extravaganza holiday a lovely 21 days. 2 different friends went to Guadalavaca (sp?) and they loved it. Swimming with the dolphins and an ace day trip on jeeps and horses with a massive BBQ at the end of the day. Hope we can get similar where we are. I'm looking forward to a Mojito or 6 whilst I'm there."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

trixietoes, I love your signature!
Still getting back into the swing of this, if you spot any mistakes please let me know.
Green day (as always)
HEA1: s/s milk in tea
B: 2 x cauldron lincolnshire sausages (2 syns), baked beans, 2x small WM bread(HEB1), tablespoon flora light (2.5 syns, way too much, will use a teaspoon in the future)
L: rice, onion, garlic, courgette, garam masala (free) half teaspoon olive oil (part of HEB)more rice from lunch, tarka dahl: lentils, onion, garlic, spices 2 teaspoons olive oil (part of HEB2).
I have a HEA left, I might have some cheese (half fat cheddar, 42g) and lime pickle (2tbsp=2 syns) as a treat later.
I may have a stella too with the dahl and rice, 7 syns wil take me to 13.5 syns, not bad!
Not enough superfree so will make up a plate of fruit to munch on in front of the telly later too.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

Hello all, tracked you down! Welcome to newbies and returnies, nothing much changes here!
Gien, back on the other thread you asked about cooking vegetables in the microwave, well it's much the same as steaming. For instance, I cut(unpeeled) potatoes into approx 1.5" chunks, in bowl with maybe quarter cup of water, lid on (I use an old pyrex plate that covers most of my bowls except the largest, for that I use a microwave lid from Lakeland that I've had for 10 yrs or so) and 4 mins on high. That's enough potatoes for me for 2 meals, if there are more than 2 of you you need to cook commensurately longer. Other vegetables, eg cauliflower or broccoli, I leave in larger florets and my magic four minutes cooks 2 days worth of them too. Spinach, cram it in, splash with water and cover - 1 min or 1.5 max. Can't speak for carrots sorry I hate 'em. I do have a fab butternut squash recipe which, if its not there already, I will add to the recipe thread. Remind me**, cos I'm just off to get supper (chicken cacciatore, microwave cookednaturally )But basically anything you can do in a stove or on a stove you can do in the mike EXCEPT ROAST POTATOES.
I'd offer to drive the tank but my memory is so bad we'd get lost or I'd forget where I left the tank or summat. Get one of the younger ones to do it.
** it's on the recipe thread now, who is in charge of doing the list etc? I forget:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
