I needed, and thus bought, a mixing bowl as part of a job lot in an auction - the lot cost me £3. There were two tiny 80's style hand-painted mugs also in the lot, in brown clay, showing trees/scenery. I listed them as I'd never use them and didn't like them - they went for £14....Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Looking back through past sales, I was surprised when my dd's Next tights age 18-24 months (4 pairs in reasonable condition - clean just a bit bobbly) sold for £7.85 plus postage!
Also pleased with a vacuum attachment I didn't need - £13.70, and a maternity dress from H&M bought from charity for something like £4.99 that sold for £8.49.
All my auctions start at 99p. No BIN. I list and end on Fridays (ie for 7 days). That seems to work best out of every combination I've tried in my years on ebay.
I've done the past 3 years worth of xmas shopping on ebay with sales I've made. And had money leftover to transfer to the bank for a treat for me! My next task? Tackling the last £2,800 of my debt that 12 months ago was £12,300 plus!
Thank op for this thread and all posters for such awesome ideas!I've got nothing else but I've got my family.
Mum to Moo age 6, Wills aged 3. 2nd wedding anniversary 11/13! :j0 -
i love ebay! i once sold a pair of my son's ripped up jeans that were so old and tatty they should've gone in the bin! they sold for £12! i always try ebay first before throwing anything away. i always get good bargains too - just bought some flip flops for 50p and a top for 99p to take on holiday next week. its because of ebay i can afford to go on holiday!

A year ago sold broken IBM laptop for £49. Was going to throw away when by accident found ebay auction for similar one.
Now before I throw away any broken electronic stuff I firstly check ebay if any similar auctions have been on.0 -
This year wasn't looking great for me, mountain of debt, had to get prof. advice... decided to list some things on ebay to see what i could get... i've made £400 in 3 weeks selling stuff that was gathering dust in drawers, used perfumes, jewelled elephant ornaments, costume jewellery...! so now i've decided to link a savings account to PayPal and periodically pay off lump sums on my credit cards etc i've still got plenty of stuff to list... clothes dont seem to sell that well but perfume and make up does... might try my Dvd collection next!Credit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this thread! This is just what is needed for a (generally) heavy hearted board. My dh & I are in stitches going through all the posts...and looking around at what to sell!0

Brilliant thread, thanks for bumping it! OH and I been getting ready for work laughing about it, tax discs! We've got all sorts and I can't wait to get home from work to start listing them! Tiffany bags, tax discs, make up, watches, a broken Dyson, an ipod with no charger, mobile phones, an absolute load of old rubbish. Should do well, lolIf you knew it then you know it!

My favourite ....Stick it on Ebay before binning it ...item.
An old dented pub tray advertising larger -I found it in our cellar when we moved in -didn't really have a use for it.
Went for £25 to an American .....I was waiting for the neg on it and instead got a lovely email thanking me and telling me how great it looked in the bar he'd built in his basementI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
