    Hi, Does anybody have a particular day, when they think they sell more on ebay then anyother day?. IE: Do you list to finish on a Sunday because it's a weekend & you seem to get more bids, or do you find that say a Tuesday is better? or does it not matter?
    Yes, Sunday night (and day) is the best time I've foun d- more people go on. Although Saturday night can be quite good due to drunken bidding - only saying this as I've done it myself (longggg time ago I hasten to add!)

  • I just sold an old Chanel carrier bag thanks to this thread! Only 99p, but hey, it's better in my pocket than in the bin!
    Ive sold jane norman carrier bags on ebay before, a couple sold for nearly £5. The girls want them for school aparently, I dont mind as it means my clothes from jane norman work out cheaper!
    finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

  • Lately Ive been selling my books on amazon, its alot easier and you know how much you will get in the end. Only problem is you have to hold out for a buyer. I ended up having a trip to the post office every day for a week!

    I have recently discovered greenmetropolis.com you can sell your books on there and you recieve £3 for each book you sell and they donate 5p to the woodland trust. Again you have to wait for a buyer. I have just sold my first book through them

    doh! forgot her reading was so good, no chance of nabbing slipper & rose but managed to claim little lord fauneroy, kipper/fireman sam, bbc slavery business, koala bros and disney pixar greatest hits so well give those a go
    and i can't recommend greenmetropolis.com highly enough, i have over 2000 books listed, after just over a year and deducting books i've bought from there i am currently in profit on there by £338 (which is our wedding budget so fingers crossed for more sales)

    We thought of a way round that, we were selling stuff to raise funds for holidays so told our DD that everything that sold was worth x ice creams (exchange rate of £1 to 1 ice cream). She thought this was a great idea and started to look for stuff she could convert into ice creams!!! :D

    Two things;
    2000 books! Your house must be like a library!
    &
    £338 for your wedding! now that is cheap!
