This is a great thread. This week I have listed my "computer scrapyard" from when I used to build PCs, mainly hard drives, memory sticks etc. Not expecting to make much, but most got watchers already, if I only get a few quid a piece its better than sat in my spare room.
  • Currently going through cupboards to see what I got!!
  • Do you have to pay to use the turbo lister?

And it's the best thing I have EVER downloaded! I'm a turbo lister convert!

  • This thread is fantasic! I recently sold a baby wipes dispenser that I got free with a pack of wipes. I sold this for £2!

I never throw anything away now and salvage anything I can that I see people throwing away. I always accept things from friends even if I know I cannot use it myself - I stick it on ebay. Recently a neighbour gave me a cot quilt, I didn't really have any use for it but took it anyway - I sold it last week for £10.50.

As for packaging I too save everything. I work in an office and open all the post, so I salvage all the used envelopes and boxes - I never charge for this, but use it as a way to lower my postage costs for the buyer.

Neighbour: How's that cot quilt I gave you? Is it keeping the baby warm?
Thriftmummy: *shuffles feet and looks at the floor* Errr, it's fine.....

Don't you find that if you list loads of stuff, some of which sells, you end up with an unexpected and largely unfathomably large ebay bill that seems to land at totally random times?

How about people from sea-side resorts selling jars of air?

Ive seen false teeth & false legs being sold on ebay,

I like the gerbil picture story :rotfl: I might try that idea with my 2 kids dwarf hamsters!

This has certainly opened my eyes to what can be sold. I will certainly be looking a lot harder around the house now, instead of the usual places.

The car tax discs cease to amazes me! What do people do with them anyway! If its nothing fraudulent, then I will put mine on!

    Keep the ideas coming!
