I have put my old perfumes on this week after reading this. Elizabeth Arden Beutiful seems to be doing best but it is the soap that is the star so far. £10.50 it is new but still. However this girl from the US just emailed me she has bid 10.50 is that dollars? And is also ask what GBP is? She has over 2000 feedbacks but obviously never bought from the UK.

After a canny start I have now found that my sales are atrocious.

I keep scanning this forum for ideas but it seems I have already got rid of the majority of my junk with carboot sales last year.

    Any tips anyone?

S'pose I'll just keep on trying!!!!

    Cheers

Turbolister is a programme you can download from the ebay website. It basically helps you to enter the details of multiple items and then upload them to sell at the same time. Its easy to use and gives you tips.

I only got it last month and it helps me so much. I normally input the details of about ten items whenever i have any spare time, then go back later and upload at a time I want to start selling them!!

if you sell a lot, i suggest it.

This makes me think about this little story... a fed up Mum says to her 8 yr old......."Start to look after that Gerbil yourself or I'll sell him on Ebay"........very upset 8 yr old runs off, comes back with a drawing of said Gerbil. "Please don't sell him on Ebay, sell the picture I drew instead!" ...........loving Mum puts piccy up on Ebay and guess what............it sells for £8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just goes to show.......One man's Junk is another man's treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thta a true story, btw!!!)
  • Turning out my Grandma's loft last week I unearthed a Van Gogh and a Stradivarius.

Unfortunately Van Gogh made a lousy violin and Stradivarius was a terrible painter

Oh well......guess I'll have to keep looking!

I saw a Van Gogh original at a jumble sale recently, being sold by an old lady.
I asked her how much she wanted for it and she told me it was in the region of £80 million, so i had to pass.

This thread is a great idea!!!

Also (shouldn't really say this and I'm really ashamed of him) but he thinks if something from a scrap yard will fit in his pocket then he doesn't have to pay for it and therefore makes even more of a profit. Yes, I know its technically stealing and I shout at him but it make no difference. (please don't be mad with us!!!!!!!!!!!)

Watch out - an ex-boyfriend of mine did just that and ended up in court looking a right twit!!

Last year I sold half a dozen eggs for £26. They were for someone to hatch but I'd have eaten them if they hadn't sold!!
