I was interested that people collect old catalogues - I have about 12 years worth of ikea ones - what do you think, put them on as a job lot or separately (in case people just need the odd year to add to their collection?)
Have a look at completed listings and see what's sold previouslyHalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

I know gift vouchers selling well isn't a great surprise.
However, the amount they sold for was!
I had two £10 Sainsbury's vouchers, but as I don't live near a Sainsbury's I just eBay'd them as one lot for the cash.
Logic dictates that the very most anyone should be willing to pay was £20 including postage and packing. Any more than that and you could just buy them from Sainsbury's in person for less.
Hence I was flabbergasted when they sold for £20.46 + £1 p&p!!
Who'd be silly enough to do that? The mind boggles.

Someone has explained that on there - I think it might be if they have money in a Paypal account and they want to use it up, or something like that.Someone might come along and explain it better.

It's to do with tax purposes and benefits and not declaring the money in the paypal account. Most of us would transfer the money we get into a bank account but that is traceable you see but if buyers use the money to buy coupons, vouchers and postage stamps then they can use up the money without declaring it.
Hope that makes sense. The art is not in making money, but in keeping it!!!0 -

Just to say if the goods you are selling have been bought by you and used by you for a period of time then any money "made" on these is not taxable.................it's different if you purchase, say from carboot, to sell on, that is incomeDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! My mothers Kenwood Chef (circa 1977) has recently given up the ghost. I keep trying to get her to list it. Looks like they can make anything from £20 - £60.
The irony is that it was a wedding present, and it died making my wedding cake some 30 years later.0
