  • Quick question, but why do people buy 'empty' perfume bottles?
Are these just regular bottles or 'special' ones? Im a bit confused on this one.

Would like to add through that I have sold some out of date food replacement products that I was going to bin. I was perfectly upfront in the listing and stated the best before date! To be fair though, probably wouldnt make any difference to the taste anyway!

I think some companies (Angel perfume definitely) do refills

Hi Scared-Sick people collect empty perfume bottles :rotfl:I know its a bit mad but takes all sorts lol
So the more unusual ones make more money but regular ones sell as people might just not have it in their collection.

I also suppose the ones that can be refilled are purchased by scammers maybe to put fake stuff in ?

I never knew they could be refilled so thank you for that info about Angel sorry I forgot who it was :(

hi snailmail, try this for flogging books. greenmatropolis it aint brilliant but they do sell a few on there.. books would raise more money though, if sought after, on ebay.....good luck

thanks arthurdick, i did join greenmetropolis, but i wanted somewhere that i could get rid of the books NOW and not have to wait around and give me time to change my mind!

i'm an obsessive book hoarder so i had to do it quickly and cleanly like ripping a plaster off! i was getting to the point where it was either the bed that went or the books, and i need somewhere for the cats to sleep, so the books had to go!

none of them were worth anything unfortunately otherwise i would have tried selling on ebay! i seriously can't believe some of the things that i've put on and sold now lol!

and i'm shocked at how the money adds up!

the perfume bottle i sold was so pretty, i was tempted to keep it, but it was just cluttering a drawer, so off it went! i must have another look through my junk (treasure) drawer!

i think for an obsessive (book and other stuff) hoarder i have done well to declutter lol!

My DH bought a broken Sony amplifier on ebay for £18 thinking he could mend it. Tried to mend it but damaged it further. Gave up and relisted it. Put in the listing that he hadn't been able to fix it. He sold it for £30!!
