Things You Never Thought You Could Sell

Well after being inspired by this thread, I've been 'decluttering'. Went through the nursery and got all of DS's unwanted gifts, nappy items that have never been used or he's grown out of (reusable
) old breast pump, etc, etc and after P&P and fees, made about £100! so chuffed.
Most profitable was the breast pump which sold for £18 and weirdest one was the free pampers nappy/wipes samples I got free from baby clubs I signed up to - sold for 99p!
Have been through my wardrobe and pulled out tons of clothes I've been clinging onto for no real reason. So got them listed, packaged and ready to go live on thursday.
Can I ask you guys tho - do you just stick things on for 99p or vary your price depending on what it is? I've got all my normal everyday clothes to sell, but also a couple of handbags, shoes and ball gowns and not sure whether to put them on for more or just put them on for 99p and see what happens?Debt free in

For anything over 99p I usually wait for a free listing weekend, otherwise you can end up spending a fair bit on fees etc.....this is MSE afterall:money::D
Free listing weekends usually happen approx once a month, but no one knows about it until a few days before hand, worth keep checking Ebay for info.

If you would rather put them on for more, wait for a free listing weekend. Most of my junk starts at 99p or less but one or two items I felt were worth more!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Yeah I was going to wait for a free listing weekend - thank you! Kicking myself that I missed the last one just a couple of weeks ago
. Just unsure whether to stick them on for more or whether that might scare buyers off and 99p listing might sell better? Hmmm, decisions!

So long as you don't start them too high you should be fine.
And after all, do it on free listing weekend and you've nothing to lose, as if you wanted you could just relist at 99p if it doesn't sell.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
It sometimes gets posted on here when someone gets informed of a free listing weekend.0

Good luck with the customising! Etsy would be a better place than eBay though - have a look round on there, there are some fantastic ponies for sale!
thank you! i do sell on etsy, though I've never sold customised ponies on there (i've seen some amazing ones though!) i really need to spend the time and revamp my shop...oh and actually make something to put in it;)
i've just sent all my ebay sales off to the postoffice and I'm now on a hunt around the house for more junk--i mean treasures!
happy selling everyone!LBM: January 2012

For postage costs have a look at the royal mail website and its all on there.
To check the weight of things I generally use a set of kitchen scales for smaller items and normal scales for bigger things.
As for packaging I buy all mine on ebay, you can get starter packs etc but general packing bags, rolls of bubble wrap etc are all available on ebay for very cheap prices.0
