Things You Never Thought You Could Sell

Random things I sold this week which I thought wouldn't do so good:
3 packs of fairy lights (Whaaaaa?!)
Word processor
3 cassettes
An anti static pistol for vinyls (sold for over £12)
London teddy bear magnet
A gnome
Talcum powder
Looking forward to listing my many things again this weekend. I have just been in the attic getting pics/weighing 76 puzzles. I doubt they'll do well to be honest, but they're only going to get thrown out when my parents move.0 -
I've just sold an item this week and found that ebays fees are 10% I was really shocked, I'd no idea they were so high. Thank goodness, on this occasion anyway, the buyer is collecting so I won't have paypal fees on top of that.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0

Am going to scour the house for stuff to put on this weekend

[QUOTE=SparklesJD;44472738- A new one from this thread, consider 'new' vs 'used'. Like some others here, I've struggled to sell BNWT stuff. I will be rethinking how I list stuff this weekend.
[/QUOTE]
what does BNWT mean?
Im hoping to list some items this weekend on ebay too. ive never done it before so Im not sure how to work out the posting etc, I have kitchen scales but, they arent brilliant.
Do you think old LP's would sell well, have loads of them? if they do sell whats the best way to package them for posting?

Brand New, With Tags
Kitchen scales should be fine, as postage goes up in weight increments of 250g generally. So it doesn't matter if you're not exact.

If it's almost up to a weight limit, say 485g, then it's best to price it at the 500-750g price as sometimes once you've packed it, it adds those few extras on, and particularly if you are selling something for 99p, you don't want to undercharge on postage or you could end up with a loss.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
I too, am struggling to sell items BNWT. I have two tops (mens) at the min that cost alot of money when purchased. ones Joe brown and the other is a nike hoodie.
This is the worst week I've had on ebay, only 1 watcher on each item and no bids
anyone got any suggestions? I just assumed items bnwt would sell really well!

Flushed with excitement after reading about the fortune to be had from old tat, I unearthed a pile of junk which had accumulated over the years and had a look on Ebay to check out some prices. Give-away CDs, DVDs and plastic toys, cosmetics, old cameras and lighters etc. I was disappointed to find similar stuff sitting there with no bidders, despite very low prices. Perhaps I should do a tour of the local skips to find something even tattier.0

I am seriously thinking of listing just the random-ist things too thank to this thread, if it doesn't sell it can go back in the chariry shop bag. Someone may want a bra that hardly been worn!!
My mission is to clear our overdraft and my credit card! Then we can start trying for another baby!! EEEEE!
Bring it on!!!
I can confirm that 2nd hand bras sell quite well on Ebay!!!!
I think that the bet sellers are nursing bras and the like.
Sometimes I sell as a bra bundle, and reckon I get more money for them than selling individually!0 -
Just been on holiday and DD and I collected quite a few pieces of pretty glass off the beach. I have no intention of listing them as they are a souvenir, however as a long term subscriber to this thread I did think "I wonder if these go on eBay?".
Well yes of course they do! Seem to go for about £3.50 for 10 pieces (unless you're a witch in which case you can sell them as mermaid's tears amulets for £5 each!!)0 -

I recently bought bras on ebay. And got outbid for some too!
However, I've had a bra on there since I started ebaying in March and no one wants it!0
