As a new ebayer its a real nightmare at the moment for me, i've just uploaded some things on the free listing weekend, but for some reason ebay is insisting on getting now on me 'proving who i am' and locking me out of my items when i am trying to add pictures to. :( I have 8 positive feedbacks and would have more if people bothered to do them. They havn't sent the transactions to my bank account yet so chances are I wont get what i wanted for my items...
Back to the topic though one random thing i've sold is a champagne tin and a jane norman carrier bag.

  • Confused newbie seller. I'd listed eight 99p items yesterday, all in the same category, when I got a notice saying I was approaching my limit of 10 free items per month. I thought it was 100.

La burb have you made sure you've verified your paypal account?

Up the creek, it is 100 per month. Have you got any feedback yet/verified paypal? This might be a reason why, if not, it might be because you're brand new to ebay (if you are). I'm no ebay expert, just offering suggestions of why. :P

Ah, just read the fine print. I haven't yet verified my bank account. :embarasse (could do with a 'DOH!' smiley)

I don't think anyone is trying to sell broken stuff fraudulently; I was actually looking for a broken coffee machine when I needed parts for mine. And in fact I could have bought a whole working machine off eBay for what new parts would have cost me. So long as it is clearly stated broken, it's just keeping stuff out of landfill and encouraging repair and reuse.

(in case this seems a little random I wrote it in answer toa post that seems to havebeen deleted, I think.)

After reading this forum from start to finish (yes it took all weekend) I decided to list some knackered old shoes. Trouble is I now have some weirdo asking for popsocks, dirty knockers and wanting to be my slave!

Things are not that bad yet! Shoes have a few bids though.
