Things You Never Thought You Could Sell

My advice would be to keep relisting them. I've just sold something tonight which I've relisted about 7 times and I'm so happy it's finally gone
Yep 415. Although I just took off the vacuum cleaner and kitchen bin I had on there because I decided it would be better to keep that for when I do move out. I've got bids on a few jigsaw puzzles already! Didn't think they'd sell as they have in the description that the boxes are damaged and bits might be missing! Woop woop0 -
415!!!! how???
I just started selling this week and it took me hours to take pics, research and list 12 items lol. No bids, one watcher. But allnormal stuff like Vid games, clothes etc.0 -
So I took your advice on empty perfume bottles, had 2 Harajuku Girls bottles (Gwen Stefani's range) kicking about stuck them on eBay - one is already being bidded on... IT'S EMPTY! mental! One person's junk is definitely another persons treasure!!
this is how people are fooled into buying counterfeit fragrances...0 -

am very disappointed as I have 3 items finishing tonight all bnwt and only 1 watcher on all of them and no bids:(
I thought people would jump at bnwt stuff, obviously not. can anyone advise me on how to get round this? 2 of the tops are worth over £100 each:eek: and I really dont wanna take them to a charity shop!
thanks
I've noticed quite a few items advertised as 'used' only for the description to state that whilst unworn, and in brand new condition, having been owned, they listed them as used! I think this is a way to get them through the filter options, as some buyers will only look at the 'used' items, not even bothering to have the bnwt, or even nwot items come up in their searches.
A friend of mine listed her items that were all good brands, like Coast, Oasis, etc., and they sold for good prices, all used. The only disappointment she has was a Fat Face skirt which sold for £4. Why not try it? People who know the brands should know what the full prices are like. Set a minimum price you'll take, and start your price from there. You won't get free listing that way, but at least you will get the money you want for them.
Otherwise, do you have a local paper/magazine that gets delivered? We have one here that allows you to list items free if under £50. Why not list each item individually that way as another alternative way to sell?
Sold my car last night. 66 watchers, over 600 views, and got only 2 bidders! The winning bidder got it for a song. OH is keen for us to sell it because it's hardly used, but I really love the car, so would have been happy for it not to goOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I have 415 items for sale on ebay atm. I'm really hoping to make a good profit to add to my house deposit savings. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.
415!! I've bought stuff but never sold on ebay and have spent half the morning listing 6 items! I suppose it's like all things - practise makes perfect.0 -
by doing this you are quite likely selling the sunday car boot trader a way to sell his overpriced water.
this is how people are fooled into buying counterfeit fragrances...
They were 2 young girls actually... I don't know what they are going to be doing with them - same with anything you sell on - plus if you're buying second hand perfume from a car boot personally I wouldn't expect much more than water... so basically what I am saying is I can't be held responsible for what people do with things I sell - for all I know they just wanted the complete set (they are a sort of 'collect them all' range as they have proper full size dolls like russian dolls on the top - maybe they just wanted them for them... who knows and quite frankly I don't really carexxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.0 -

That's amazing - I've got a few really old jigsaws but it's possible that there's a piece or 2 gone astray - don't really want to do half a dozens jigsaws at 1000 pieces each to find out so pleased to hear that. I know I could count the pieces but they could have got mixed up so I wouldn't be sure.
Just got to find them now!
PS How did you find time to list 415 items? Look me practically the whole weekend to do 60!:rotfl:0 -

More to the point how do you find time to package up all the things that sell? That seems to be what takes me a long time...Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0 -
With the jigsaws I did state on the listing that the boxes have been stored in the attic on shelves for several years so they're not in the best condition and to please bear in mind that they may have pieces missing.
I will never sell the 415 items in one go... I usually have around 40 things sold per free listing weekend...It does take a while to package them all up but I only do it by who's paid, and to be fair a lot of the payment comes in dribs and drabs (except the best people who pay straight away) so it gives you a day or two in between.0 -
I'm feeling inspired to get listing as well as kicking myself over the enormous amount of stuff I have thrown, donated or given away! Oh well, you live and you learn. I would like to think that donating stuff comes back to you in other ways but if that was really the case I almost certainly wouldn't be in debt and struggling to pay my bills!
Am going to have a good old trawl through my cupboards and plan a listing day to see what I can shift. Second hand carrier bags?! That is fantastic!!!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73
Debt to family and friends £270/540 Total Debt £22604.95/22874.95 :embarasse0
