    I've been Money Tipped!
Having been inspired by this thread I've started listing all the tat that I've accumulated and is currently just in boxes taking up space in my house.

Today I sold some space saver vacuum storage bags (3) for £5...not bad considering I paid £6 for 7 of them on ebay a couple of months ago (the other 4 are in use, storing spare duvets in the loft!)

Also sold a dvd, a football shirt (my ex's team, ick) and a solar battery charger that I've had for years and never used.

I have lots of free listings left so I'm thinking about my old mobile internet dongle next... you're right rdchick, it is addictive!!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
  • What's the deal with the free listings, btw? Is it 100 and that's it? Or 100 per year? Or less/more?

100 free 99p listings per month but they have free listing weekends every now and then and as long as you start the items off at £1 or over it won't eat into your 100 99p listings.

Thanks for the tip about scheduled listings! I never new you could do that. Might take advantage of it :) heh

I'm inspired to sort out my clothes and sell them on eBay. I've never sold clothes on there before, and tbh they are not great brands that I have, mainly primark and asda. Do you think they will sell? I'm ok with 99p as anything is better than clothes I don't wear!

If I list on Saturday for the free listings, what day would be best to end it on?

    Many thanks.

I sold a Primark dress last week that I've never worn so it still had the tags on. I got more for it than I paid new earlier this year. I was kicking myself for not taking it back as it didn't look nice on me, but now I am glad I didn't:D

Primark is one of the cheap brands that does seem to do quite well. Not sure about Asda as I don't shop there because unfortunately its miles away from me :(

I have 31 listings currently, makes me laugh, I have Bench t shirts on there that don't fit me any more and they have no interest in yet a hello kitty top from asda and it's a hive of activity! Lol Still have my ex's engagement ring :shudder: to stick in there (expecting lots if pennies for that as it has diamonds in it!) plus that car seat, more clothes.. The list is endless! Xx

Glad to have helped some people out with the Schedules listing thing. I wish I'd discovered it sooner as before a few months ago, I used to have loads of Descriptions saved in Word docs to copy and paste, but would then still have to faff around uploading the pics, and copying everything over, doing the item specifics etc etc at the time you want them to start.
I love having everything ready (when I actually get around to doing them that is!)

  • I FINALLY got round to listing one of my bigger items today, so hopefully it'll sell and make a sizeable dent in my pile of stuff to declutter! Got about 8 active listings, but my 'My eBay' page is looking distinctly red.... come on people, BID!!!
