Do you mean you only got 15 - 20 books back from the 40 you put out? I think I would pull my hair out in an area like that! I collected my 2nd drop and it was 36 books out of which I got 31 back and 1 lady asked could she drop her book back up to me later this week as she hadnt ordered yet.

Going to get my 3rd and I guess last drop out tomorrow to complete my first street (its a big street lol) and will pick up on Thursday. After that I will just call in my friends and family orders and those houses who asked for "more time" or to leave the book upthemselves. Currently on £231 in orders, but really want over the £350 mark for my first campaign tbh

Yeah, I got 15-20 back out of 40. I'm not too bothered about it this time because I'm not sending them back out, but hopefully next time I'll manage to get more back! Although, I'm not doing that street again as there's another girl who seems to be messing around and quite possibly doing it. So I'll stick to my other 4 instead! Well done with all your orders, that's an amazing amount, think I've only got about £60 so far :(

Can anyone help? I've just sent my order in, then five minutes later found another order form I'd misplaced. It's now past 10 o'clock and I don't know how to add another customer to my order without incurring a charge. What's the best thing to do? Phone Avon tomorrow and ask them to add these items to my order? Will they charge me?

Thanks, sorry to ramble, its a bit late and my brain is fried!

Phone fasttrak first thing in the morning. Failing that, let us know what you need and we will give you the best advice we can
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

Smoosh - the pink calling cards work really well for me, if you need to get more books back. Always use them when canvassing, but my customers are fab at leaving books out so don't need to so many now :)

This doesn't sound that disastrous, especially if you posted books instead of knocking.

The collection date bit on the order form isn't very obvious even if you highlight it so I've found making my own little slip (8 to an A4 sheet) and stapling it to the front of the brochure, means people can clearly see when you're calling.

Getting into a routine and calling on the same weekday at the same time helps as well.

But on first canvasses losing a chunk of books is normal, and even amongst your regulars you'll have some who are forgetful despite the routine and everything else you've put into place.

Put less reliable people on backorder.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thank you, I just called Fasttrack and they've added it to my order, he couldn't promise it would arrive but he said I had probably caught it in time. Thanks for your help!

  • hi there

I filled out the new rep application form last Tuesday 4th Oct and I haven't heard a sausage

How long does it normally take for someone to contact you?

Thanks for this :) I made some calling cards to give out, but then forgot to take them with me! I'm definitely going to order some with my next order though.

I'm glad it's not unusual! Stapling the extra bit on sounds like a good idea, I might give that a try :)

Got a phone call from someone today saying she wanted to order something but wasn't sure she'd be home when I was going to pick the books up, which I thought it was nice of her to contact me. Plus she said she'd be ordering more on the next campaign :D Going to pick up the rest of my books tomorrow, plus the ones people said they wanted to keep for longer, fingers crossed!

If you let us know where you are located, we can probably point you towards someone who can help you! If there isn't anyone here who knows an Sales Leader / Area Manager near you then we can look it up. Failing this someone with a better idea will be along shortly!

  • I actually googled "Avon rep" and my area and found somebody who was a Sales Leader in my area, I called her on the Friday and she came to see me on the Monday. So if nobody here can help you, try a quick google (or even gum tree as lots seem to advertise there) and contact a person who can help you directly :) Good luck!

    Hello,
I'm rather fed up. My AM - the one who signed me up seems to have lost her plot or is completely disorganised (she was v chaotic at the meeting as well). I texted her several times over last week asking to give me extra area, look into possiblity of me getting some streets in an area where my boyfriend lives etc. I kept hearing I will do it and nothing happened. I joined in 10 days before the order is due and am worried I won't get enough to order.

She called me finally last night but failed to remeber any previous conversations and I wasn't sure she really knew who I was!

In a meantime I tried applying again with my boyfriend's address and another email (that was Friday but I haven't heard anything). I really need a better area! If someone can help finding SL or AM of an area please PM me (I tried google)

Out of my rubbish streets (where I dropped 70 catalogues I got back 15 and no orders:-( ).

    Many thanks
