I'd just keep it simple, say that your an Avon rep in x town/district (depending how big your town is/how far you can travel), and to contact you for Avon brochure, with no obligation to order. Maybe mention that delivery is free, and the 90 day guarantee. I wouldn't put your home number, just a mobile, & email address.

Hi, just a quick one , I may be being daft!!! Would free delivery be at reps cost or is there a way I don't know about? Thanks in advance

Even though having to collect your books yourself had a reasonable explanation, on the face of it your SL's other actions still seem a little odd. Am I right in thinking from your post that your SL didn't do any further training after the sign-up - have you been shown how to input your order and do returns? In total I think SLs are supposed to do 4 training appointments, although some may group 2 together to do in one go. Personally I only had 2 but that was fine - I worked out returns thanks to this board. If you sign up as a SL you should expect full training from your upline and since they're going to be earning money off your work then don't be afraid to pester them to make sure they provide the support they're supposed to. If that fails you can always go to your ASM - they've been known to take over training if your immediate upline isn't doing anything.

I never had any training sessions, I had my sign up meeting , when she gave me my account number etc and she registered my account on Avon there and then. And I haven't seen or heard from her since. I am in my 2 Nd campaign at the moment and place my 2nd order in 9days. I achieved £239 sales in my first campaign .

Have a few questions about returns and credits though if anyone can explain them to me. I want to return two items. But I have completed the online credit forms. My balance is the same. When will it adjust. . ? When I return it with my next delivery . ???? I just don't understand

    Hi there,
All costs incurred with deliveries to our customers are at the rep's expense. I hope that answers you question.

I submit any credits I have at the same time as submitting my order, therefore the account updates itself after that. TBH I only ever really check it when I look at my invoice as I know it all evens out in the end. Possibly if you submit credits before placing the main order the account balance will show it, but it may take a day or so.

Picked up my first lot of books (40) today as well as dropped off another 60 at my new streets. Only got 2 orders from them, worth £20 combined, got about 15-20 books back which I was pleased with :) although I had to bin a couple because they were soaked. A couple of houses asked for more time to look through the book, so I'm taking that as a good sign!

Credits usually apply within a few days, but I currently have:

    - normal credits
    - credit added by Avon
    - re-credit for a recharge that Avon have confirmed they'll do

all not showing anywhere on my site. No "pending credits" and not showing under "account balance" either. My balance is currently showing as the cost of my latest order plus some re-charges.

Credits normally apply long before we return the goods. We return to the courier, and then they return them to Avon (sometimes waiting until they have enough to fill a van/palette), so we can't be waiting for things to arrive back at Avon's distribution centre.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I put the date of delivery and amount on my calendar so I know to have enough change ready on the delivery date.

If I know I'm going to be out, I'll pop the money over (my rep only lives across the road) in advance.

As I've said previously my rep knows that if what I order isn't available, I don't want an alternative.

I always return my books well before the date my rep puts on for collection.

If I'm going on holiday and I know I've got a delivery due, I'll pay up front.

If I'm going on holiday, I ask my rep to let me have a look at the book in advance and if I want anything I'll return the book and pay at the same time.

  • Can anyone help? I've just sent my order in, then five minutes later found another order form I'd misplaced. It's now past 10 o'clock and I don't know how to add another customer to my order without incurring a charge. What's the best thing to do? Phone Avon tomorrow and ask them to add these items to my order? Will they charge me?

Thanks, sorry to ramble, its a bit late and my brain is fried!

Do you mean you only got 15 - 20 books back from the 40 you put out? I think I would pull my hair out in an area like that! I collected my 2nd drop and it was 36 books out of which I got 31 back and 1 lady asked could she drop her book back up to me later this week as she hadnt ordered yet.

Going to get my 3rd and I guess last drop out tomorrow to complete my first street (its a big street lol) and will pick up on Thursday. After that I will just call in my friends and family orders and those houses who asked for "more time" or to leave the book upthemselves. Currently on £231 in orders, but really want over the £350 mark for my first campaign tbh
