Hey there... sorry yet another question... what happens with OOS items and MOV?
Basically quiet one this month (as expected after the shock of last months!) I should just about reach mov, but several items have yellow blobs... will this mean I wont make mov :(?

Hi Sherry, hopefully you'll find that the rep used to cover the street but knows it's been removed from them (or gave it back). If they were canvassing wherever they liked then they (a) shouldn't have done that anyway and (b) can't complain if a rep is allocated those streets and starts working them. You're doing the right thing by not insisting customers switch to you so they can't complain.

The other option is that they think the streets are genuinely theirs. This could be an issue (nobody's fault) so try to get their name and phone number and ask the ASM to double-check they know what's going on. I recently had a single street (surrounded by other ones I do) disappear off my allocation. I'd been re-canvassing as normal and months had gone by before I realised. I still haven't seen evidence the other rep is working there but nevermind.

Thank you for your reply :)

As far as I know, the streets I have were allocated to a none starter, she never put any books out to begin with and never placed a first order. I have managed to get the details of the rep that is working on the streets and have passed them to my sales leader. Are you able to check your allocations online?

    Thanks again x

We can't check our own allocations - I'd get a territory list emailed to you by your upline if you haven't got this already. It's nice to see it and the new system (they've just updated the computer system that runs territory) means your upline can send it in a PDF. They used to have to copy and paste it. The PDF also lists every address in each postcode, which is useful because some streets have hidden houses or missing ones that you spend ages looking for!
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

URGH I just wrote what was practically an essay here... then accidentally deleted it :'(

My ASM came :D She didn't have C1 yet :( so I have more C18 which I already have but I'm sure they will come in handy anyway... plus she said she will bring me some C1 on Friday :) (fingers crossed...)
And she's having a look for some territory for me, she couldn't get signal here, and my internet was too slow for the maps to load properly so she's going to check it all at home and send me some options.
We had a bit of a look though... basic options are around home, so within walking distance but so spread out I would need to drive pretty much all the roads surrounding the village :/ or I drive somewhere and can have some houses and streets by each other. I'm leaning towards the second option...

Oh and she brought me some more order forms which was a bit of a blessing.... I've some how managed to lose 100 christmassy order forms... :/ oops...

just thought about doing a little newsletter for my customers to give info about delivery dates and order dates etc over xmas and new year and just seen the first 4 campaigns of the year are all so close together was not expecting that at all. knew i would have short time between 2 and 3 but between 3 and 4 too??? this is a bit much. Is that normal??? My little one is due to have his tonsils out anytime from mid december onwards so was expecting to have issues with that and maybe missing a campaign but might have to miss more as he has to be in doors for 2 wks and with the short dates for pretty much the entire month of January not sure i would have the time to do much. Im a bit scared to tell customers the dates as dont want them to think im pushy with here's ur order oh by the way ur nxt order is due nxt friday. Below are my dates ive been given. Was hoping to make presidents club this year as managed to get 1/3 way to it since joining in July but just not sure its possible with missing couple campaigns. Keep thinking ive worked it out wrong just seems very quick together as normally have 2 wks between delivery and nxt order date.

    ORDER DATE DELIVERY DATE
    18 Friday 15 November Thursday 21 November -
    1 Friday 06 December Thursday 12 December -
    2 Friday 20 December Thursday 02 January -
    3 Friday 10 January Thursday 16 January -
    4 Friday 24 January Thursday 30 January

You are one day behind me for all your dates by the looks of it. Except my C2 order is delivered the 30th December. Campaign 2 & 3 are always short which is why I personally miss giving them to customers and give then C4 a few days earlier. I think the problem this year is the way order/delivery dates 'clash' with the various bank holidays over the Christmas period. Another reason for me skipping them :o:rotfl: I'm planning on putting C4 books out on Jan 9th so customers will have them the normal amount of time before I collect them in. It also means I can avoid doing anything other than accept my delivery over the Christmas/New Year holidays and therefore spend some time with my daughter or maybe even socialise with some friends if there is a miracle :rotfl:

I never give customers the actual dates of orders as I have some who would take the mickey and contact me at 10pm on the order date. I do a newsletter every campaign with brochure amendments and dates on. I tell them the brochure collection date (always a week before my order is due so I have an additional 5 days to chase those who say they want to order but need another couple of days or are away etc), the date I plan on delivering their orders (my order arrives on a Wednesday, and I deliver the Thursday evening) and I have recently added "Sorry but I can't deliver before this date, due to when Avon will accept my order and how long takes them to then deliver it to me". This goes above my "I don't normally work Friday evenings or weekends due to other commitments which vary week to week. I will answer any calls/texts/emails though as soon as I can" notice. ;)

Don't know what OOS is (sorry being thick) but if you order ur books and little bits will that not push the amount up a bit anyway so if some bits aren't delivered you might still make MOV?
I wouldnt worry about the yellow blobs, i had one of my first campaigns where there was a huge amount of yellow showing up but still some of those items turned up. It just gives you a rough idea of what is in stock or possibly out of stock at that point. you just dont know until the invoice is produced so keep fingers crossed hun im sure it will be fine. Good Luck x
  • Just put my C18 order in, about £400 short for PC this year which only equates to around £30 each campaign. Orders are definately down and not much demand for Christmas gifts either.

Onwards and upwards, will go in hard with recanvassing next year and try to get another shop or two on board.

  • Hello lovelies! More questions!

Thanks I,Geek for the advice on returns however, I don't have a printer and I can't find the blue returns book you mentioned! I don't think I was ever given a returns book! :(Question 1: Is there anyway that you can return without a return book or printing stuff out? If printing out is essential then can I give the delivery man the items next time? The reason I am asking this is due to the fact that my delivery comes tomorrow and I won't be able to get anything printed before then!

Worryingly, I can't find my first two invoices (for Sept and Oct) - I am a messy person and think my fella may have 'tidied' these away into the recycling! :O Question 2: Are they available online? Just thinking ahead to when I have to fill out tax self assessment form!

Question 3: A lot of you are mentioning that you are missing out C2 and C3 - why is this? How do you communicate this to your customers to ensure they don't think that you have just stopped doing Avon?

    Thanks!
    Claire :)
