nicki That sounds a really good way of handling the new year ones, I'm thinking I'm going to miss one of them ones not sure which yet though :/ I have a fair few ex reps so thinking they might appreciate C2 because they are used to stocking up at the start of the year. We'll see how I feel once I get there :)

Well done on your C17 order :D x

ok so i have been mis informed about the mail plans then. I was told it was the last two digits of one of the numbers on the box. how do you find it out please. Interested to know now lol.
I have been trying to consider missing a Campaign and thinking of missing out c2 maybe c3 as i have only 2 weeks between the two. My other option was only to give them to my customers who order normally and leave out my roads which i canvas. Quick question. How long would you give a road to canvas before stopping giving brochures out. I have lots of people who i have canvassed for nearly 4 months now with no response on my leaflet i attach to it some dont even leave the brochure out but i am still keeping them on my list till they respond. would you leave canvassing them after 6 months for a time?

I only do it this way so that I can spend Christmas with my daughter and then when she goes away I get down time for me. I'll probably still be working right up to the 20th. It also means I haven't got loads of Avon stuff sitting around the house during the holidays as there is enough extra stuff as it is :rotfl:

nicki haha it makes sense though I think it's way too much straight after Christmas what would be better with a short one about now as everyones getting into Christmas mode yet not too busy yet.

I wish my Avon came later I want to go back to bed n ive managed to dislocate my toe stumbling around in the dark :( lol

Personally, I run it like this: call for 4 campaigns in a row (sometimes longer if the fifth campaign is C18 or C1). Anyone whose responses have just been to not read or not return every book, I stop with after those 4 campaigns. I re-canvas them later. If people are reading the brochures I carry on for longer. I have some people who read one or two brochures since July and haven't read any since so I'm carrying on until Christmas but will call it a day after that. If they're reading every one I'd go for longer.

Some reps carry on forever, though, until told to stop. I just find that most customers come through within 5 campaigns and any who take longer place small, infrequent orders after that. I had one exception this campaign but she did tell me she was well stocked up and that's why she wasn't ordering yet.

A six month break before re-canvassing is very reasonable. I used to do every six months with houses that weren't responding either way, but after having them for years I've decided to re-canvas once a year from now on.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

    New rep here!

Hello there, I signed up to be a rep earlier on this week, with the area sales lady giving me both campaign 17 and 18 books to use, and then order everything at the end of campaign 18.

I was surprised that a new campaign comes out every three weeks, it seems a little intense/quick turn around in that sense, as if a customer orders, I am going to be giving them a new book at the same time as their order.

I was thinking about perhaps just doing 'every other book' - does anyone else do this, or similar? If, when campaign 18 is ordered, I assume I would be given the option to order the books for (I think the next one is) C1, but if I were to skip that, and and wait until the C2 books come out, is that possible? would I need to order the C2 books instead of a campaign 1 order?

Sorry if that seems confusing, as you can tell, I am a complete newbie, and haven't even placed my first order yet so not sure how it works. If anyone has any tips for a complete novice, would be much appreciated

Welcome ska lover sorry can't really help you there. But I had book problems last time n I had customers pestering me for books when I didn't have them. They hadnt even got their last order n were already asking :| id thought it sounded like too many too often too but seems not. Though I suppose if they get bubble bath n conditioner you do need it quite often. These 4 of us and we buy things like that every time.

Um I got my order today. ... There is legwarmers that I didn't order what do I do with them? X

Ska lover - welcome to the page and to the Avon family :) When I started almost 4 mths ago I thought that giving customers the brochures every 3 wks was too much and felt bad for asking them to essentially read and possibly order each time, but it seems to work and most re order each time and will just take a break from ordering every so often but they always take the new brochures. When you take your orders to them just ask if they would like the new brochure and probably most if not all will at least take it. Im sure if they dont want it or dont want to order they wont and will say, so dont feel like you are pressuring them at all. The worst they can say is no thank you :)

Pixtotts - If you have received something you did not order just send it back and put it through your normal credit system with the correct code and you should be fine. Check it is charged on your invoice too.
Is it definitely not a free gift that someone ordered?

Give people every brochure? - short answer: yes :D If people don't have brochures they can't order, which reduces your earnings. I've only got a few people out of about 150 customers who want to see every other brochure, or a few times a year. The rest have never complained. If you skip brochures you might just happen to skip one that has a good offer that customers would have gone for, or when a customer's run out of something (so they buy elsewhere). Most of my customers don't order every single campaign out of a year, but they can have runs of say 3 or 4 brochures where they order from every one. I've had someone who placed a very large order last time place an even bigger one this time, which was surprising.
