I'm a newbie to Avon so just popping on to say hi. xxNo more spending hard - Time for the scrimping!0

I've read alot of people say about putting calling cards in the doors of people who don't leave there brochure back. Is there a standard one or do you make it up. If so can I have a bit of help making one up and where do you print them from. Hope you don't mind all the questions xxNo more spending hard - Time for the scrimping!0

Avon sells calling cards - the code for these are on the stationary page of HT. I've actually never used these but from what I understand they have a few options so you can tick:
- I'll be calling back for the brochure
- They weren't in for their delivery.
The main reason I don't use the Avon calling cards is that I can't choose my own wording and I'd need to write or stamp my contact details on each one.
I make my own in Word. I fit 4 text boxes to an A4 page - each text box is the "calling card".
You can do separate calling cards for:
- letting people know when you're calling back for the brochure.
- letting people know you won't be calling back for the brochure and providing instructions on how to get their order to you.
- when people aren't in for delivery.
On each of the above leave a space for writing in the date/time you'll be calling back - but otherwise everything else including your contact details will be printed out so you'll have to do minimal writing when you're out and about.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I use the calling cards & find them very useful - there a largish box at the bottom to write your own message in, so if its a case that I've tried to deliver an order but there's no answer, Ill write on asking them to contact me on x number to rearrange delivery. When its a case of someone hasn't put their book out (I never go back a second time), I print out stickers saying that they will need to contact me with their order by x date & give all my contact info.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I'm so sorry to post my totally unrelated question, as a reply to this post, but I don't know how to do a new post for my predicament.
Here goes anyway.
1 I recently ordered the £50 bumper box ( C6 ) and appreciate that it is charged over two campaigns, what I need to know is whether this final payment of £25 counts towards my MOV for C7 ? My sales for C7 are £72 without including the £25, will this earn me my 20% when the second £25 payment is added to it making £97, or will I have to order another £8 worth of stuff to earn my 20%.
2 How do I change from being a territory rep to being just friends and family?
Thanks, and once more, apologies for posting this way.0 -

No need for apologies - TBH I wasn't sure about the Bumper Box query so just rung Avon to check. (SL Helpline weren't totally sure either so they checked with a supervisor.) Am told that the £50 charge only counts towards the order value in the original order, it's just that part of the cost is deferred. To be on the safe side order extra in your C7 order to make sure you hit MOV/£80
Your other query is much easier to answer - just email your upliner (whoever signed you up) - good idea to copy in your ASM (Area Sales Manager) too - asking them to release your territory as you now wish to be a F&F rep.

Thank you so much for the trouble you've gone to on my behalf, it's greatly appreciated.0

You're very welcome, MJ. This is one of my fave places to chat about Avon - started long before Avon Connects - and I got lots of useful hints and tips when I first started as an Avon rep. Unfortunately, I don't now get chance to look in as often as I used to but long may the thread continue! :jMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon

 Ms Sparkle - to add to others' comments re. the calling cards, check out your website under Training and Development. Reps sites are slightly different to SLs but, hopefully, you will also find 'Sales Kit' there. (If not, ask your Upliner to email you a draft.) Lots of useful downloads there for business cards, adverts, etc. Use them as is or make up your own.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

I'd also suggest going from territory to F&F only - drop a note through the doors of all your customers explaining due to x reason you are no longer going to be servicing them... and would any of them like to take on the round, and then you can refer them to the area manager and give her your customer list. Or just pass on your customer list in the email so that she can make sure someone else takes it on, or contact them all herself - just addresses will be sufficient for her.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110
