well spoke to my SL and she said she had asked a couple of houses on that street (same day she visited me) if they had Avon and they said no, so that's why she had suggested the particular street as my allocated street
Hmm... as a SL they should have been able to request free streets for you on SMA (the system that knows which streets are free and which aren't). It's not a good sign that they knocked on doors rather than using SMA - I mean you found out pretty quickly that that's not the best way to do it because you ended up on someone else's street.
If you want more streets in future you'll have to go to the ASM, which sounds like a good thing because they should know what they're doing.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Tax questions:
1. The taxman is interested in your taxable income as a whole. My husband had employed and self-employed work one year so when I did his tax return I had to fill out a section about his employed work, and then another section about his self-employment. It asks you questions at the start: "Were you in employment this year?" and "were you self-employed?" or words to that effect. Everybody has a personal allowance and once you've used that up you start paying tax on every pound over it. All types of taxable income count towards you using up your personal allowance. Oh and if you've received JSA you'd also tell them about that on the tax return because that's another type of taxable income. Obviously in your case that doesn't apply, but what I mean is that there are lots of difference types of income that are considered taxable. WTC isn't one of them.
So one tax year my husband was employed, self-employed, and got some JSA. They added together the taxable income from each of those. If he was over the personal allowance he paid tax and if he was under he didn't.
2. Your Avon hours will count towards the number of hours your working. Similar to above, they're interested in the total no matter how many different types of work you do. On your WTC renewal form there's a section to tell them about your employed work and another for your self-employed work.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. Thank you for explaining it all to me.
I'm going to my local Tax Office this morning for some information.
I appreciate everyone's help on here........thank you all.0 -
Something you'll notice as time goes on is how Avon doesn't give some products much of a chance. They could well have been selling in other countries for longer so maybe overall they decided they weren't selling well, even though here in the UK they've been around for 6 months.
You'll also notice things coming back about a year later "by popular demand". Being very cynical here, but I do wonder if they remove things just to bring them back.
Oh yes.!!!0 -
To add to the above about WTC: things may be very different if you're a new claimant. The Universal Credit is being introduced and new claimants will be the first to go on it.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. anyone help me out?
I have printed my returns form- but realised one of my items is too big to go in the box.
So i need to return one box and one bag- but both are on the same form. do i give everything the same number?
Or
Should i write on the form next to the item their different return number / codes?
thank you!0 -
I'd go for a separate barcode label on each "item" being returned: one for the box and one for the bag.
I've just had the same thing happen (pink Antler bag), but had printed separate returns sheets.
What I'd do is print another set of the returns forms. Cross out everything except the bag, fill it all out and put one copy in with the bag (I assume it's still got its clear plastic wrap). I sellotaped mine up and stuck a barcode label on the outside.
Then for the box cross out the bag, fill the forms out and box up and label as normal. Put another (different) barcode label on this box.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. Mine the pink antler bag too!! Thanks!0

My daughter bought the pink antler bag and she loves it, funny how everyone's taste is different!
It looks like I might be getting the road I was after in time for c8 ( on c7 at the moment)0 -
For my customer it was the depth of the bag that was the problem. It had looked more substantial in the brochure but just wasn't big enough in real life for her needs.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here.
