Books come out every 3 weeks, apart from 2 in December/January which are 2 weekly rather than 3 weeks.
If your orders are below £80, you can add some items to your order to qualify for the discount, then return them so it won't have cost you anything. If you get no orders at all - you just don't submit an orderAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Looking forward to your next book. Even though I just signed up, I'm a huge "lurker" and I loved your first book. Just wanted to say thanks!0

sorry to be dimm.......what do you mean "qualify for discount"? Do I pay to return items or is it freepost?
I know I have to pay the initial £15 (can't remember what for, she did tell me!lol), do I have to pay for the books or anything else?0 -
If your order is £150 or more you get 25%, if your order is between £80 and £149.99 you get 20% - sorry with you saying about orders below £80 I assumed you knew about the discount levels. If your order is below £80 you won't get any discount (ie you won't earn anything).
No returns are done free via your courier - when they bring your next delivery you give them your returns and they send them back. There is a little paper work, submitting them online, and packaging them up but it's simple to do.
The £15 is charged in two lots of £7.50, one onto your first order and one onto your second order. For that it means your account is all set up, but you also get the books for your first campaigns provided - 40 in total (20 for your first campaign, 20 for your second).
On going costs are fairly minimal - as a minimum you need to buy brochures, and resealable bags to keep your brochures in good condition (not really necessary for books going to just friends/family/work), paper bags which work out at about a penny a bag (different sizes are different prices). Order forms are provided free, delivery is free provided your order is over £10 (unless you place additional orders In between brochures), and we don't get charged for submitting orders online (unlike some companies!).
You can qualify for free samples in your first few orders, but after that we have to pay for them. I don't tend to give them out very often - it's easier to tell your customers to order the full sized items to try, as with Avons guarantee they can try make up and if they don't like it can exchange/return it for a refund, which is better than spending money on samples for them to never order those items!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Sorry.........i mentioned £80, because the lady on the phone told me that was my minimum to make any money. I imagine she will go into more detail when we meet?
Why do I have to buy the brochures? I didn't realise I had to do that!0 -
Because like any business there are running costs - avon isn't a job, we aren't employed, we make money on a self employed basis, so therefore there are some costs involved - any direct selling company (I think there is only better ware that has no costs involved), has some costs, whether it is paying for a party kit/demonstration kit or paying for brochures. If we were to get the brochures for free, avon would have to reduce our earning levels and would probably restrict how many brochures you got provided with. Brochures are fairly inexpensive and you don't need to buy one per customer if you don't want to so long as you have time to recirculate them to your other customers before your order is due in.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Hi ladies- well spoke to my SL and she said she had asked a couple of houses on that street (same day she visited me) if they had Avon and they said no, so that's why she had suggested the particular street as my allocated street was a walk away (she knows i don't drive) anyway i all can assume is that the lady prop hasn't canvased in a while so that's why it was a little patchy! Either way not going down there again, and sticking to my allocated street.
Anyone else find Book 8 a bit, well, crap? nothing really in there to entice me!!0 -
Hope not, I'm finding number 7 is really boring unless you're into nail varnish! Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
