Been sorting out my books today ready to go out to customers and again I'm short by a book! Its a good job I order in full packs of 20, rather than approx 50 that I need to put out to customers! This isn't the first time its happened either.
Also I see that campaign 10 is going to be a "special edition, new look" book apparently? I just hope the dimensions are the same as the regular books so they fit the brochure bags. Book 11 looks like the regular books though.
Did anyone hear that head office isn't happy that some territories are not bringing in the sales they should? If they believe this is the case the rep has 3 campaigns to up their sales or their territory will be removed/reduced in line with sales accord to what I've heard. So with 268 houses allocated to me, apparently 79 possible customers (I have approx 50 including F&F due to the number of student/empty houses & abusive people) they expect sales of £340 each campaign! Good job I have a couple of customers who regularly order over £20 worth of stuff otherwise I'd have no chance of coming anywhere near that total.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

First I've heard (I visit Connects every day, too) but then I'm a rep and not in regular contact with an upline like a SL would be. Who told you this? Although even if it was an ASM some have been known to use scare-mongering.
Even if it's just a scare tactic, shame on Avon for using it on their reps. If it's actually going to happen it sounds like a tactic to "free up" territory (although it wouldn't be free because the original rep would keep their customers, sometimes leaving nothing for the other rep to work with) so they can recruit more reps.
Well, I'm nicely into Bronze PC (haven't qualified yet this year) and will be closer to Silver by the end of the year, re-canvas regularly and don't meet Avon's targets. The suggestion about sales targets also doesn't take into account what proportion of each order is from our network, not territory.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I had an email from my ASM yesterday telling me I had to give her a customer list otherwise my roads would be taken from me. Apparently it's Avons new policy.
Edited to say I have just re read the email and it actually says
Please reply with your customer details by 30th April, if I have not received a reply by 30th it will be taken that your customers are scattered/friends and family and any previously allocated territory will be automatically deallocated.0 -

It was an email from my ASM a few weeks back. Only just remembered to post about it here after a busy couple of weeks. A lot of my territory is social housing, student houses or the sort of people you don't want to associate with unless you're into dodgy (and illegal) dealings so there is no way I can meet Avon's numbers!
I've been out tonight making deliveries, and my best customer (regularly orders £50+ and this time owes £105!) has said she won't be able to order for a while as she's not currently working due to ill health. That means my figures will go from £250-300 per campaign down to probably £150-200
I've also had a few customers complain to me today about other people putting information about Avon through their doors. I've told them its my "boss" and they are allowed to do that according to Avon. BUT I've also told them that at some point I will be giving the Avon up as I'm looking for other work but I will let them know in advance. My plan is get another job, do 2 more campaigns with territory then give up and just deal with any outstanding orders etc as needs be.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
My Area Sales Manager isn't going around asking her girls for customer details and I see her every day and she would have told me that! To be honest, it really doesn't sound right... I'd get some clarification on that.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110

^ To add to the above, it sounds like something you should go to the DSM (ASM's boss) about. Am I right in thinking a SL on here should be able to find out the DSM's details (shared in PM of course)?
Your ASM and upline SL have already engaged in some behaviour that other uplines definitely don't do (more territory in exchange for customer details), so it makes me very doubtful that anything they're doing is Avon policy - and something the DSM may want to know about.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. Hi ladies
How can i get a item on a return form deleted (i have unwittingly clicked a item that was sold- thinking it was something else- and prop distracted by my son at the same time!!)
Can i just ask avon sweetly?

Hi, I have just looked at my first invoice which will be delivered on Tuesday. It states 3 products are out of stock, 2 will be delivered with my next order and 1 will be delivered when availble.
1 was something I ordered for myself and 1 was for a friend. But the other is someone I don't know who has ordered a few other things as well.
In your experience what's the best way of handling this should I knock on their door to explain now and leave a note if not in or take the order round on Tuesday and put a note in with that.
It's probably stupid but I feel really nervous about letting someone down! The next order is due to be delivered to me by the end of April so it's not that long to wait.
If Avon say it will be delivered next time is this a definite or could they push it back again?
I will treat my friend in the same professional way but Im not really nervous about talking to them about it.
Sorry if this is a silly question! And thanks in advance.
Oh one more thing, I should have ordered some extra plastic bags with my order but forgot, where is the best place to buy them to fit the catalogues. There is a link on the first page of this thread but they seemed very expensive?!0 -
I'd contact the customers to let them know about the OOS items. If it was something they needed urgently the extra few days' warning will give them a chance to buy something else.
I wouldn't worry about the response. I've found people are very understanding about stock issues and appreciate that you've got in touch before delivery.
I tend to say "it should be here by..." and don't give a guarantee just to cover myself because there can be a further delay sometimes. I also say that if I see it's OOS next time as well they'll also be told as soon as I find out. Reassure people that they don't need to re-order - it's on the system and the price won't change either when it gets here.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here.
