I'm wondering (as I know my asm so well she shares her targets with me so I can help her effectively) if it is that they are really down on their sales targets, so are trying to scaremonger their reps into working harder to push up their sales so they hit that part of their target?

If my ASm asks me for customer details she won't be getting it and won't be doing another campaign. In village where I live she has signed 3 other reps who packed it in after 3 campaigns. I know for a fact if I pack it in most of mine won't bother and will use Avon shop when they have free delivery. If she told me she was doing it I would be helpful and direct her to areas I don't and have never covered. I could ask for them but to be honest I am happy with ones I have and don't want more .
I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!

Scaremongering could well be all this is, but I still find that really disappointing. Some of the people who've got these emails will have been long-term reps who've kept going through slumps in sales (or might be experiencing one at the moment). Reps who've been doing it since as recently as Nov last year have been going through a long winter and I'm sure we've all been out at least once in very unpleasant weather. They shouldn't think this is an acceptable way to talk to the reps/SLs who do the hard work and actually sell the Avon products.

On Connects 2 PC reps (1 from top 50) have had these emails recently. I don't think they dignified it with a response!

Just checked my email and haven't had such a request from my ASM. But I do have a POB order  - not even promoting it so it's either someone who found me on Find a Rep or it's been passed over from another rep. Off to see what this is all about!
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I haven't had any emails requesting details either. Hopefully it's just your asm - I'd email them back and request the details of your dsm as you want to check how wide spread this is. I'm guessing then you won't hear anything and they might stop bothering you!

Well c6 is looking extremely poor - about as bad as the campaign just after Christmas. Got a couple of days yet that some people could send me their orders, but so far they're about a third of what they usually are this time of the year!

Too late I've already sent them to her.
I wanted another road and she kept saying not until I get a customer list.
And then she sent the email that I quoted from earlier, so she got her customer list and I got my new road.
I had replied in the past telling her that I wasn't prepared to give my customers details to her because I felt that they trusted me and I didn't want them being approached as they would know it was me who had passed their details on and she assured me it was only in case I stopped doing Avon so that the customers wouldn't be left without a rep.
I do think that most of my customers would mention it if they had been contacted by her and if that happens I will be contacting the DSM because we have worked really hard at this over the last year and not for her to go suggesting that they do Avon themselves and taking our customers. The SL already did that to 2 of our customers. Our daughters go to school together and one of the mums used to spend a fortune but is now an Avon rep herself:mad: the SL is laughing though because she earns commission from us both now.

Yes, at least you'll know pretty quick if the SL has gone against her word if any customers just happen to become reps, or even just tell you she's approached them.

First I would like to say that although I have never contributed to this thread I am a frequent reader and have used a lot of the hints and tips to help grow my Avon business.

I was with Avon in Ireland. I notice of late you've been discussing sales etc in the UK. I thought you might be interested to hear what exactly has happened here. I place my orders on Fridays and receive them on Fridays. I placed my order as per usual last Friday and received items to distribute to my customers. I even received my batch of C8 books. Then on Monday afternoon I received a text from my BD (business developer) to tell me that Avon was pulling out of Ireland. No word on what was happening with regard to the order I placed. No word on what was happening with regard to the returns I had made. Since then I have eventually been told that there will be no delivery this week and that I have lost the money on those items which I was returned. I have 60 euro odd of credit owed to me. As a rep I am out of pocket.

I understand that things like this happen all the time and that 60 euro may not seem like a lot of money, but it was a lot of money to me. Avon gave no notice and actually put the message that is up on the avon.ie website prior to contacting BDs. BDs were not given any additional information to what was put on the website (as far as I am aware). I don't understand why Avon didn't give a weeks notice and tie up their loose ends here. As they have left here in the manner in which they did I wouldn't fancy their chances at ever being able to obtain a foothold in Ireland again as they have done irreparable damage to their image here.

Anyway, I wanted to share what happened. I for one shall miss Avon as I enjoyed doing it, but I would have preferred for it to end in a different manner.
