Hi peeps,
Sorry, been busy.... but a few pointers:
* Since last posting I found out (much to my chagrin.....) that the 14 day cooling off period only now applies to whether a newbie wishes to proceed as a rep or not. (Historically if a newbie was not happy with their upliner they could use that period to look around and find another one if they wished. NO LONGER POSSIBLE.) Essentially once you have provided the additional information and provided ID when someone comes to sign you up, you will be 'tagged' to their team for approx 6 months.
* In extreme circumstances Avon will switch a rep to a different team but it's very unusual
* Check your virtual brochures for OOS items - according to the messages on our websites, Avon are marking those with details of items out of stock.
* As someone already mentioned, at this time of year it can be worth paying £2.50 to place an additional order i.e. in the hope that the items 'to follow with your next order' will actually arrive earlier. (Items are returned/stocks replenished constantly.)
* Your invoice should be viewable online a couple of days before your delivery is due - good idea to check it if you're desperately waiting for certain stock.
* According to SL Helpline, reps can ring Fastrack (use the option to 'speak to an agent') on a daily basis if needs be to check if oos have come back into stock and, if so, request that they be despatched pdq.
* If you have red crosses at the time of ordering, check your brochures for an alternative you can suggest for your customers (or even allow them to 'trial' a similar demo product for you- at a special price of course).
* As for 'red streets', they are good territory but can be clicky so persevere - sometimes people won't trust a stranger with an order until they have 'gelled' with you....
HTH and Merry Christmas everyone!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Lots of things were out of stock in my last delivery, which I found to be very disappointing, especially for new customers. Some 'out out stock' items which were supposed to come in the next delivery still haven't arrived, and Avon say that those items will come in the next order. I'll believe it when I see it. Avon's buyers should have themselves better organised.
My orders have so far been high enough but this time I doubt how much will be getting ordered. I'm a part time student and I had coursework to do, so I focused on that so I had less time to get my books out. I collected some books today, but there wasn't even one order. I've got more books to collect as well but its not looking good. I'll still have to place an order so I can get my next set of books, so I'll probably have to pay for delivery of this. Is that right?
This time I had one customer wanting to pay with a cheque! Didn't let her do that though.0 -
Hi All, it's been a while  Seems all the same problems are occurring for everyone! Moneymaker, I have sent you a PM - I hope it is useful to you.
MC's suggestion of ordering a similar item to anything showing OOS is a good one, especially as they can try it at no risk anyway. It is what I always do when I see the fateful red X. Stock problems are crazy this year.
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Xmas! :AStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Last year I placed an additional but this year I've been able to get all my OOS items by ringing (and not having to pay the £2.50 charge).
A SL on Connects also said the SL helpline had said there was a hierarchy as to who gets priority on stock. I'm sure there was a group above PC reps, then PC reps, then new reps, then everyone else. I don't know how they define "new". I'd seen it mentioned once before that new reps get priority, but this rep quoted the source. Although, judging by the different things we're being told about stock being discontinued/not discontinued, I'm not 100% convinced the helpline knew what they were talking about. Can any SLs on here confirm if some people get a higher priority than others?I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Update on my scenario. Delivery came, invoice said the gadget pens would follow by RM next week. Good. Rang avon to find out which items were coming with my additional order - all my oos items would be coming. Great. Till I mention the gadget pens coming next week... no, they're not coming now, discontinued - aaaargh! But my invoice says... we're very sorry but they are discontinued and not coming.
Wish they'd make their blinking minds up!Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Is there a different HOV in campaigns 1, 2 and 3? I know there is a lower minimum order value but do you get 25% on a lower value?0

After 28 years nothing ever changes, the oos are just so unbelievable.
We bloody wouldnt' need that expensive wrinkle cream if nothing was oos, if tesco or asda run their business like avon did, they would be out of business within a week.
If i was a customer i wouldn't buy from avon at all, they don't deserve loyal customers.
After all pj's are not this years in demand number 1 toy, so why are they oos.
I would say to you, go to avon.uk page on face book, and write how unhappy you are with the way you have been treated, with oos, and how upsetting it is to tell customers that presents they have ordered from you are not coming, and not to mention the comission that you have worked so hard to get and have missed out on.
go on they don't like you posting comments on their facebook page like this, but it's one of the best ways to get your point across.0 -
I seem to remember when they brought in the delivery charge for small orders that brochures were exempt - but to be on the safe if you add a few items to make your order over £10 then you won't get charged a delivery fee - those items can always be returnedAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

IG - I certainly don't seem to get things in preference to Dh who is just a rep, though he is bronze pc member - but the amount of things he has had oos or to follow has been ridiculous so I don't think there's much of a difference in priority - although am I am a later mail plan which could be whyAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

No hov stays the same unfortunately.
From campaign 5, mov is going up to £80, hov to £150. First time they've increased it since I joined so can complain, it's only going up £2Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
