My daughter has just signed up as a rep. disappointing first orders, though she will make £13 after paying her admin fee this month.
Anyhoo, if she were to try to sell on ebay, are there stock photos she can use? I've had a quick look, but can't work out how to do it.
thanks.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Has she signed up to do just friends & family or has she meet allocated some territory? and if so, how many houses? There are so many reasons why she might have only made £13, for example - did she start towards the end of the campaign? Is this campaign's order going to be delivered before Christmas? My last order before Christmas was great but I know this one is going to be pants as its orders by the 28th for delivery on the 7th Jan. I'm not expecting an answer to these questions, its just more as something for her to think about as it's not always like that.
Also, if she has been giving a territory, people may not have ordered because they are fedup of reps coming & then giving it up, so they might wait a while before ordering to see if she is a stayer or not. Sometimes tho, it has the reverse affect - after speaking to people on my territory, the were gagging for Avon Books but that's maybe because they hadn't a regular rep for yonks (so I was told).
Re: ebay - I haven't a clue, I'm unsure if officially its allowed, and I'm sure that after postage, that there isn't much to be made out of it - I read that somewhere on this forum (I think).
Could someone confirm if eBay is officially allowed?Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

I usually just keep the current brochure and a back order one, but now with so much stuff being out of stock I'd need to start keeping the older ones too0 -

I don't know if selling on ebay is allowed either. But what Avon doesn't know won't hurt themThey sent me some products a while back which I wouldn't be using so I put them on ebay, might as well get a wee bit of money for them. I got a few things sold but there are other things that nobody even watched on ebay. I put the things on ebay on the free listing days that come up every 2 weeks or so.
I kept one of the perfumes for myself as a treat, though I don't usually wear perfume. And I kept a red nail varnish too because I fancied it. It soon chips though and is very runny compared to their nail varnish years ago.0 -
don't get me wrong - im not the avon police either!Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

As once you've bought products from avon they are your property - yes you can sell On eBay - however after you've paid your eBay & PayPal fees I've always found its not worth it as you hardly make anything at all selling that way, obviously it depends on what prices things are selling on there for.
For pictures of items - if you google the items usually in images there's a suitable stock photo.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Thanks Lozza1985 for the advice, i will PM you soon. Can you give me advice though on the exchange of brochures, are we allowed and what are the parameters? Can i buy say...3 packs and exchange them over a period of say 5 campaigns?
thanksLive and let live...0 -
Unfortunately to change sl now you would need to leave for 8 clear campaigns before you could re-sign under someone else. If you send me a pm though with your postcode, I can find out who your area manager is and they will be able to help you - I assume you are wanting to take some streets on to help you sell more?
Can you give me directions as to how i can PM you? I am quite new to this MSE and cannot find any PM buttons?!!Live and let live...0 -
Selling on Ebay - definitely allowed. There's a rep on Connects who does this on a huge scale (and I'm sure others do as well) so Avon must know about it. The stock reply from Avon has been that it's up to reps what they do with their stock but they prefer the traditional selling channel of brochures.
Stock Photos on Ebay - plenty of sellers use these but only a few are in Avon's approved images gallery. I guess Avon's not saying anything about it because they've been using them for a long time. I take my own photos because as a buyer I like to see what I'm getting/see that the seller has the item.
Free listing days - these are only available to personal accounts and if you're buying in stock to sell on, or selling un-delivered items, you're running a business and need a business account. Ebay can shut down your account if you're a business using a personal account because you're able to avoid fees on the free listing days and it's unfair on those registered as business sellers who are paying the fees every time.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
