  • Congrats PM! :j
If there is, I don't know about it. You thinking about Tesco online by any chance? :)

Usually yellow dots actually arrive. Don't worry about Avon and possible returns - you obviously have much more important things to be thinking about at the mo.

Little tip, provided your a/c balance is below £20 your next order will still come out to you as normal so IF you do have any returns to do, just stick them in a box until you have time to process. Provided you do your returns within 90 days there shouldn't be a problem.

Hope that helps and everything goes really well for you and your imminent new arrival.

Oh OK Thanks! See I did warn you it was possible baby brain and I had dreamt it up!!

  • all new reps should be given at least 20 books for their first campaign and 20 books for their second. Some upliners give extra but it's recommended that books are handed out piecemeal i.e. you get them in two tranches. Your upliner should deliver your second lot of books to you either just before or after you place your first order.

    HTH.

That's good then, I got 20 for C18 so I assume I'll get the next lot in mid-October time.

I feel like the odd guy out not being on the same book as most people!

Apparently mine is a trendsetter area, so I've got the Christmas C18 books in already.

I'd ask your upline (or ask on Connects) about whether "double backordering" has been brought back for trendsetter reps. They did it last year to allow trendsetter reps to be giving out Christmas brochures closer to Christmas. Otherwise when we're in C18 and C1 (in November and December), you'll be in C2 and C3 (which aren't Christmas-themed at all and C2 is a January sales style book).

So how it would work is:
    - you're in C2 in the peak spending time just before Christmas
    - but you can backorder things from C1
    - and double-backorder things from C18.

I'm not a trendsetter rep and discovered double-backordering is possible, but it's a bit more tricky for me. I have to do an additional order and not leave it too late in the campaign.

However as a trendsetter rep Avon should have put something in place to help you out over the Christmas period. Sorry I don't know how it works exactly but it's worth asking about so you're not missing out.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Ahh, but you could be invaluable help to the rest of us on here by passing on hints tips about what's coming up and sells best! :j Pretty sure that's why Avon have trendsetting areas (not to help us but to help them with their ordering).

  • Good, informative post as ever, IG. The bulk of us don't have a clue about how TS areas work. (Did once have a rep in a TS area to recruit but had no option but to pass her on as I couldn't get books far enough ahead for her.... :( )

Just a little point, think your 'double-backordering' = placing an additional order on your previous campaign? Pls correct me if am wrong. It's a useful tactic in certain circumstances, always incurs the £2.50 p&p charge of course and unless in PC you need to hit M/HOV before attracting any discount unless you're using it to click into the previous HT offers ;) (again). As far as I know team leaders don't earn SL commission based on such orders so a possible reason not to 'spread the word' about this facility.

Sorry if that's confused anyone! :rotfl:

    Hi Everyone!

8.5 months pregnant so excuse the possible baby brain!

Am I right in thinking theres a code you can add somewhere if you don't want Avon to send an alternative? A few items I am ordering are low stock but with CSection booked for 9th Oct I dont want to be faffing about with returns for bits I didnt want!

    Thanks in advance x x

Pips Mum - it's not baby brain!! I knew I'd seen it somewhere too and have managed to track it down - see the "how to order" page in the back of Hello Tomorrows

It says... 'If you don't wish to receive an alternative product, please enter product number 82404 and quantity 1 in the the "place and order" section of the website.'

I assume this would cover your whole order and not just HT items.

Hope it isnt too late! All the best for the c-section, enjoy your new baby...I'm an early October birthday and I can tell you we're the best ;)

All absolutely true! :) I'm in bronze PC and if I wasn't I wouldn't consider double-backordering unless my round was bigger (but in that case I'd probably still be in PC anyway...). Additionals are only worth it if you're either in PC, or are sure the order will go over £148. There's still the £2.50 but it's a small price to pay.

However, that's for us regular reps. I'd hope Avon don't penalise TS reps financially while still allowing them to order further back in the run-up to Christmas.

Hmm... that's new info about SLs not earning. Now I understand why double-backordering isn't that well promoted - either by Avon or uplines. My upline's an ASM so she probably doesn't give a hoot! :D I'm currently using double-back for recanvassing and doing a new area and once people become customers I'm "promoting" them to the current or backorder brochure.

Eternal learning curve it is indeed!!

Can I just clarify this double back ordering thing please - I'm not in PC and wouldn't be placing an order above M/HOV, so I pay full price for products plus £2.50 delivery charge. But would this allow me to order a third item from HT i.e. I ordered it first time, then as a back order, then can order again on an additional order?

Also - if I order an aerosol/bubble bath, the additional order will be delivered by courier and will come fairly quickly i.e. won't have to wait for the next order etc.
