  • To SLs: Just flagging this as it never dawned on me and it's another 'pit fall' I fell into recently! :( Sorry if it's me just being thick.....

If you are recharged for goods Avon reckon they have not received back, as we all (should) know it's just a matter of confirming the bar code on the returns label and Avon will then apply the correct credit back to the a/c. All fine - no probs.... However, be aware that this will impact on your PSQ/Personal Sales Qualifying order as the recredit is treated as returns (again). Just make sure you have enough orders + Performance Points to cover both your PSQ and the gross amount of any returns that campaign plus the gross amount of the recredit!

    Hope that makes sense.

Wow this thread has been busy while I've been away, haven't time at the minute to go through the last few pages but welcome to any new reps/sl :)

Quiet week for us Avon wise with missing a campaign, got my books packed before we went and don't need to take them out till next week, and only 3 orders hanging around from last time so not too bad thankfully.

Additionals and who they benefit - am I right in thinking additionals count towards your Award Sales (the rep's award sales)?

Yes, absolutely everything counts towards a Rep's Award Sales. I'm not so hot on the SL side...

  • Hi, i found this thread good.
  • Yes, absolutely everything counts towards a Rep's Award Sales.

Which makes you wonder why they changed the policy for the Rising Star scheme.... I had a very unhappy rep on my hands for not getting the £50 credit despite £600+ worth of sales in her first three campaigns!

Makes you wonder sometimes whether Avon purposely change the goal posts to catch reps/SLs out?

RS is rewarding new Reps and their SLs for them placing online, ontime, orders, i.e. getting into good habits immediately. Award sales is something that has no real relevence to a new Rep so isn't comparable, and has been around for years anyway. If that was being introduced now, I'd imagine it'd follow the RS approach.

Thanks, see your point but the rep in question DID place 3 regular online, on-time orders and paid within 13 days too + an additional order, albeit some of that had to be returned. Avon deducted the returns off her regular orders but excluded the value of the additional order (even so she fell just short of the £500 requirement). Just seemed unfair to me that they counted the returns off the additional order but not the sales..... :(

Sometimes I do get the impression that Avon are a 'bit sneaky' (to their advantage, of course.)

  • Hi ladies, do any of you know how the credit system works for Avon. I was basically told that I was allowed only £276 credit but have orders for nearly £900 and I haven't even picked up my work's orders yet. Also feeling very worried as most of these orders are for the Lipsy bag and purse set (leopard print 24 sets) will I get all these or have I totally messed up on my first Avon order. I don't want to let people down who have placed an order xxx

If the additional order returns got attached to a regular order then they would get deducted, I see your point here though. But £500+ sales in ontime, online, regular orders were the RS rules...

    Don't panic - there's a few courses of action.

Firstly - get in touch with the person you joined with and explain to them so they can help you in more detail. But as a rough guide, you can either submit a regular order early, for the limit you were told, then the person you joined with can ring and request it be processed immediately. Then once that lot is delivered, pay your bill and you can submit additional order which hopefully will help cover your remaining orders.

If they live local to you, you can always get them to put through orders on their account, then when you have money from delivering the orders you've put through on your account, you can pay them the cost price for the items they ordered. Does mean you won't get those orders counting on your account though, but one thing you need to consider is making sure you get the products in a good time frame to keep your customers happy.

Alternatively, you usually submit all your orders and you have to pay upfront for them (the cost price so with your 25% discount). Obviously only an option if you have enough cash to do so, or can get some of your customers to pay upfront to help (like family/friends).

Best bet is to get in touch with whoever you joined with ASAP and they can help you further with what will be best for you and possible with time there is for your order deadline. For your next order, your limit will be increased but as your second campaigns order could be over £1k I would checked after your first order has been processed what your limit has been raised to to ensure your order doesn't get 'held' (ie put on hold because it is too large).

Well done on getting so many orders tho! :D
