If it helps, the SSS Soft & Glow Absolute Glow Gel (inc gradual self-tanner) is in the customer clearance book C17 @ £2.50 along with the SSS Mineral Gems Gold Body Scrub @ £3. My guess is they are going to repackage/rebrand this type of product but maybe the Glow Gel will suffice until they do.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

Does anyone do school fetes, pamper nights, etc with their Avon products?
Just wondering what sells well. Do you do bundles or hampers, or just put out individual products.
ThanksNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Hampers do quite well - they are instant presents - i buy the basket sets from the clearance section of the HT and buy a load of products out the clearance section / on special offer at about £1 each. Depending on what is in the hamper depends on the cost of it.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110

hey guys,
Please dont take this the wrong way, but is it truely worth doing Avon these days? I am not being horrible, Im just trying to find something I can do to make money of my own finally that fits around my child and her hectic life!! I think I have one, maybe two reps around my village, never get a book though lol. Its just with the likes of FM Perfume and Cosmetics Company getting out there, was just wondering how things were looking for Avon.
I must confess, I have tried Avon twice before and failed:( but I was not in a very good place anyway at both those times. I have been a stay at home mum now for 15 years:eek: and all jobs Ive tried (and hated) were cold calling and telesales.
I did have someone text me about Avon, so I text back and the lady never replied, so I thought oh well.
What do you think? 3rd time lucky? worth it or not?
thanksLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -

JC: Deffo do it! The A-F33 is amazing and Avon have sole rights to the active ingredient for 2 years!!:j Google it - sure you will find at least one of the blogs.
Sounds like the timing is perfect for you now. Choose a good (ideally local) upliner and go for it. What County do you live in? (Always be careful what personal information you post in an open forum.) Depending where you are, you may still be able to click into the Rising Star scheme - worth £150+ for newbies. Be quick though, it's already finished in some areas.
I started another thread on MSE where we all 'voted' where we are located in the UK - use the search engine to find it and maybe you can find a local SL, who already subscribes on here.
Good luck!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I've only heard the name FM Perfume and never heard of Cosmetics Company. Avon is still a very recognisable brand to people and the brochures are good quality/well-designed. As a rep you can get customer leads and it says something if people are prepared to ring someone they've never met to get their regular Avon book. And the same when canvassing: some people order straight away without having met you first so it's a brand people have confidence in.
You're aware of other reps in the village but they might have small rounds or stick to one area (if it's a big village - I have a big round but that's still only one side of the village). We get allocated streets so once you know what these are you stick to them and don't canvas other streets unless you want to expand and get even more streets put in your name. The reps in the village might have customers through word-of-mouth so you'll see them calling on people all over the village, but they might not actually canvas the whole thing. When you sign up you can ask for some streets to cover.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Hi everyone!
I've been lurking here for some time, but felt it was time to say hello properly.
My name is Ria and I've been a rep for two camps now - just placed my second order worth £500 in sales, meaning I get my bonus goody bag with my delivery tomorrow - whoot!
Absolutely loving being a rep at the moment - it's still that fun christmassy period I guess lol.
Wanted to say huge thanks to everyone for all the stellar advice in these threads. Everyone here is SO much friendlier than avon connects (which is generally fine, but there are some real smart alecs lurking around waiting to pounce too!) Hope I can help in the future myself too!0 -
Hi always nice to 'see' some new faces on here
Yeah I never go on connects, as aside from the fact I find it difficult to navigate, the simplest question gets rude replies when there's just no need.
Glad this thread has helped you, I couldn't have managed without it when I startedAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
