Got nearly £900 orders in the end which is fab, really pleased as we need to start Christmas shopping soon & we should be ordering a new kitchen (at long last!) this weekend so need the extra money!

Make sure you check your customers orders in case they've missed an offer, I had a lady order one item at £4.50 which was in the 4 for £5 offer. She was really pleased when I let her know that for only 50p more she could get 4. And i had another lady order 5 bottles of bubble bath rather than just 4 - meaning she would have been charged full price for one bottle. Much better to give your customers the option of adding/removing items from their order instead of just benefiting yourself - earns you their loyalty and more likely that they'll recommend you to people :)
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A
  • Yes, customer loyalty is priceless. Some of my customers are a 'tad perverse' though..... (maybe it's me! LOL) Whenever I offer a 'free gift for £x+ spend' it's surprising how many orders I get for just under the qualifying amount  Equally, in C16 I went back to a customer, who had ordered a bubble bath for £4 when it was part of the 4 for £5 offer. She did - eventually - amend her order jokingly saying I'd 'made her spend another £1' :D but then in C17 she loves the product so much she's ordered another one @ £2.49 I did say I could still click into the previous order ie 4 for £5 but she didn't want to! No accounting for some people.... I'll be clicking into the other offer though! :rotfl:

Anybody else got customers like mine?

Everybody who's returning some or all of these please check your invoices. It seems like all of us are getting our award sales dropped by £25 per set, rather than the £15 it should be. Trendsetter and high-selling reps spotted the problem a few weeks ago and rang the PC line etc... but it's still happening and it's not a known problem when you ring up. I've had a useless e-mail response so am going to have to send some photos of my invoices if it comes to it.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else ordered the 5 x A-F33 treatments when we had the option of an early phone order during C15?

I got invoiced for mine last week, had to pay it last night before i could submit my order, and I was charged £16 a bottle i.e. 20% discount. Do you think we'll get recredited the extra £1 per bottle on the C16 invoice if HOV is reached?

Bit annoyed that avon have charged me so early and at the lower discount rate, and my beauty bonuses didnt come with C15 - very frustrating!
I enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.
    So far: Bubblews £16.19 . Swagbucks £25, Neobux £1.29, Clixsense -.
Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.

Thanks for the info. Is it just the award sales figure that's a problem i.e. are the correct nett credits being applied?

Have 'slight' knowledge but probably on a different mailplan to you so not sure if that makes a difference. Got to admit to being confused how if you were 'invoiced last week' you had to pay for it 'last night'? As far as I know, all invoices don't fall due until 13 days after.... As a general rule, so long as the payment for your previous campaign invoice has cleared before your current order deadline date then all should be fine.

In my area our 'early A-F33 orders' were invoiced in C15 @ £0 to be charged in our C16 orders. Is that not what happened in your case?

I was confused too...thought I would have 13 days to pay, but got an email on thursday (my order submission day) saying that I needed to pay the invoice, plus the invoices always say 'within 13 days or before you place you next order', so I paid it just to be on the safe side.

I've just checked and actually the invoice date is Monday 15/10...I'm a little concerned that they may have ended up treating the order as my C16 order, but I will wait and see what my invoice for the actual C16 order shows up and then may have to contact Avon.

Thanks for the reply, Marsden Cuckoo! Always appreciate the help :)

  • Yr v welcome, MK.

Is your C16 invoice viewable online yet? (Under 'Order Tracking').

Your upliner can check for you if your order status is showing as being held so always worth keeping in close contact with them. (There are a few little 'tricks' we know to help ease things through... ;) ) Actually if they're a decent upliner they should be flagging to you if your order is showing as being held and tell you what you need to do to get your next order released.

SLs: Not sure if you know but changes are afoot. Up until now, generally speaking, Area Managers have been very pro-active re. order management of reps i.e. encouraging them to place orders on time, which obviously benefits SLs too. Gather this system will change in the next few months so all SLs need to do their own order management. It's in your interests (as well as your reps) to manage your teams effectively if you want to grow your own Avon business.

  • Not sure if I should be posting this or not  but....

If you struggle with speaking (aka making yourself understood) to Fastrack then a little tip I give to my team is to become Trainee Sales Leader i.e. you then get access to the SL Helpline (+ further information/training guides on your website). At the mo your upliner can do this for you but the system is changing on 25 October, 2012 so any rep interested in SLship needs to apply on their own behalf via their website.

As ever, there's a 'knack' to making SLship self-financing (easily managed with the help of your upliner) but not sure when the £25 charge kicks in with the new automated system.

    Forewarned is forearmed! ;)

Thanks for the info. Is it just the award sales figure that's a problem i.e. are the correct nett credits being applied?

Yes fortunately we're getting the cost price of £10 per set back without a problem. It's broken down as £6 for the EDP, and £2 each for the shower gel and lotion.

The brochure price shows as £15 for the EDP alone, with the other items being £5 each. Total brochure price of £25, rather than the £15 we got awarded in the first place.

So it's just award sales that are effected. Not massively important for everyone but if you're on the verge of PC and starpoints go off award sales as well don't they? Also the Rising Stars was effected by returns.

EDIT: I'm more annoyed by the lack of response from Avon than the problem itself now. It's been reported many times already but they're not acknowledging the problem. I read that the Strictly MMs are effected in the same way. This is going to put people off doing MMs if they're wanting to get into PC or move up to Silver or Gold and every pound counts.
