  • SLs also don't earn off late orders either, which is why some reps actually do it i.e. on purpose just to tee off their unhelpful upliners! ;) Not sure about additional orders but guess the bulk of these will fall into the 'late' category.

Avon can be pretty 'sneaky' - one of my newbies was caught out under the Rising Star scheme because her additional order didn't count towards the £500 requirement - she did £600+ worth of sales in her first three campaigns but didn't get the £50 credit because without her additional order her total was £4 short .

It's all about dotting the i's and crossing the t's.....

Eternal learning curve it is indeed!!

Can I just clarify this double back ordering thing please - I'm not in PC and wouldn't be placing an order above M/HOV, so I pay full price for products plus £2.50 delivery charge. But would this allow me to order a third item from HT i.e. I ordered it first time, then as a back order, then can order again on an additional order?

Also - if I order an aerosol/bubble bath, the additional order will be delivered by courier and will come fairly quickly i.e. won't have to wait for the next order etc.

Can't guarantee it but deffo worth a go if you're desperate for a third Demo product. (Your upliner may also be able to help you get extra Demo products from HT for you i.e. they can ask other reps on their team to order on their a/c if they're not ordering it for themselves. ;) )

Additional orders all take 5-7 working days irrespective of which route but you're right that if you include an aerosol or bubble bath it will come via carrier rather than Royal Mail.

Didn't know there was a TS area in Scotland but guess it makes sense. (The other one I know of is Birmingham - where are the others? Anyone know?)

That's probably, you know, classified info ;) but I believe there are 15 of them...

    Usually yellow dots actually arrive.

    Though not literally ;)

Ooohh, I had no idea.... Just thought Avon chose a few areas throughout the country to 'test' the brochures. As ever, we live and learn. ;)

    I hope not! haha.

I'm a bit confused with the whole TS thing - I'll have to ask my sales manager. Also, I'm not completely sure with the back order business either. I guess it will take a while to get used to all the rules etc.

Just handed my first lot of books out tonight, hopefully I'll get an order or two.

Don't worry about it m_m; just get your books out and, hopefully, lots of orders in. Keep it simple to start with - the longer you run your own Avon business, the more you will find ways to 'tweek' it and increase your earnings. Baby steps and all that....

    Good luck.

Additional orders if you're not in PC - as long as this goes over £78 or £148 you're earning in the same way you normally do. So in C16 you could start a C15 additional and order from C15 and C14 (and their respective HTs). There's the £2.50 charge on top but an order of that size (over £148) should come via courier and if in doubt add one heavy item. ;) Also be careful when in the campaign you place your additional. A rep on Connects does this as standard every campaign and has to place the additional a few days before her regular campaign deadline. They changed the rules on her at some point and she discovered her additional had disappeared off the system. I'm also speaking as being on mailplan A (and the other rep is as well) - apparently the amount of time you have got in a campaign goes down the further down the mailplans you are. That's just hearsay but please be careful if you want to try this.

EDIT: Another thing to consider is paying for the additional. The other rep who does this says she always pays off her balance before submitting her regular order even though it's not necessary. However, the reason it's not necessary could be to do with being long-serving/in PC and therefore trusted not to do a runner with the goods. I did an additional on Wednesday evening and my regular order's due this coming Tuesday. I'm about to pay for the additional even though I haven't delivered the goods yet (and won't for over a week).

As MC says it's all about finding the 'tweaks' to your way of running things. I found double-backordering by accident and the first time was a test - I ordered one copy of the item from the backorder and one from the double-back book just in case it took the double-back item off the order in the end.

Additionals and who they benefit - am I right in thinking additionals count towards your Award Sales (the rep's award sales)? If so do they not also effect the SL's award sales for the campaign in which the additional is placed?
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I wasn't sure - checked the online E-Guide (and still wasn't sure as I got the impression that 'late orders', which additional orders can tend to be... ) don't count so, as ever, I rang the SL Helpline.

They advise that it all hangs on whether the Regular Order has been placed online and on time. If so, additional orders count both for the rep's award sales and for upliner commission. :)

That's another box ticked then! :rotfl:
