  • Avon have stock to sell online of 3000, now these have been sold, no more will be sold online until reps have the product, customers will be advised to buy from a rep.

Also Avon yesterday & today have been having meetings to urgently decide how to get AF33 out quicker to reps. I am sure we will hear something very soon.

With the daily mail article, this morning, loose women, great but a couple of weeks early, so all focus at HO is on AF33.

Also the TV ads start on Monday, so more pent up demand!

I copied this direct from a Senior Exec who works closely with HO, so I wouldnt be panicking too much about customers buying online as the stock available for online purchases has run out :-)

I put my c16 books out this week and it has AF-33 on the cover. I'm hoping that my customers will see the publicity and decide to try it. :D

Thanks for the info from HO. I really did feel let down by this being released online so far ahead of most reps deliveries, so it's good to hear they're trying to steer the sales towards reps. There's a rep on Connects whose invoice is showing it as OOS, though. She's Gold PC so these weren't demos, they were proper orders. I hope there isn't a problem with the supply source. :(
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • Thanks for the link I, Geek and the online info Sazzy (welcome to the thread). I don't get these til the 8th either.

Must admit, I just thought 'oh, another skincare product. Nice freebie but a bit on the pricey side for most of my customers'. Have played it down a bit, wish I'd known about all this.

Just checked online for my dates over Xmas and it looks like I'm going to be missing a campaign or two over xmas/new year. I'm sorry but that is my time to spend with my DD and family. I'll update the customers with a flyer saying that they "can order but I won't be putting books out until X so if they need anything that can ring/text/email me on..." ;) Then I'll stock back up on my bags, forms, cardboard ring sizers (which I go through stacks off as people don't always put them back in with their books), brochure bags etc :D Just need to make sure I don't order books I won't be putting out! :o

Just for reference for the rest of you if you're interested :

    C16 Order 4 Oct Delivered 10th
    C17
    Order 25 Oct Delivered 31st
    C18 Order 15 Nov Delivered 21st
    C1
    Order 6 Dec Delivered 12th
    C2 Order 20 Dec Delivered 2 Jan

So basically ignoring 16 which I've just put the books out for, I have 2 campaigns where in theory customers can get their stuff before xmas (17 & 18), 1 risky one (1) and then I'll not be putting books out for c2 and probably not for c3 either but I'll decide that when I get the dates. I may or might get some stuff in for stock, but I've found my customers are too unpredictable to make it worth my while on a lot of stuff :(

C1 should be okay for you stock-wise partly because you're on an early mailplan (C?) and partly because you've got a buffer between 12th Dec and Christmas. Enough time to do an additional or source things on eBay. I'm in A and get mine 2 days before yours and aren't worried about the dates. :)

I'm just basing it on my experience last year. Its not just whether the stock is in, its also customers not having the money to pay for it! Last year I had customers asking if I could come back repeatedly (right up to 23rd one person!) or hang on to stuff over the christmas period as they didn't have the money, then when I went back (after putting a card through a day or two before to remind them how much etc) they cancelled it or just never answered the door to me! I think I gave up on 1st Feb and returned everything as I was out of pocket so much. I won't be making that mistake this year. I know who I can trust, and those I can't now ;)

  • Hi everyone

Hoping someone can help me. Just received my first delivery. My sales were £148.96 so I hit HOV. However, if I need or want to send something back will they take the HOV off me and reduce me to MOV?

I ordered the bumper box for someone for £30 and they don't want it anymore so I would like to return it. I'm just concerned that this will affect my chances of getting the £100 gift if I hit HOV next time.

    Thanks

Returns taking you under £148 - don't worry, any returns don't effect the discount you got. If they did Avon would have to do you a new invoice because the cost prices would go up and ask for more money. They don't because it's not your fault if a customer returns something.

  • Thank you I, Geek.

    That's a weight off my mind x
